This was good. Just a question though, why didn't the surgeon look into the little boy's throat BEFORE the op (very short anaesthetic) because it shouldn't have been such a huge surprise that only cyst removal was needed rather than a four hour very dangerous op to widen his airway? I love how kind all the staff were, decorating cookies for the kids on dialysis and using the bubbles to distract was great! Thank you for this - it brought tears to my eyes when he had his tracheostomy out, could talk & was going home, it made me smile, wonderful!

Jenny Hughes well, he had to have an operation, even to examine his windpipe because he will never sit still long enough for a small camera to be put down his windpipe, also those lumps in his windpipe had to be removed. So, it was a fluke that he was a lot better then the doctor expected. Also the doctors kept a close watch on his windpipe recovery and they normally don’t suggest a major operation, unless they have no other choice. Even though I have a feeling, sometimes it’s because of the money.
