As much as I enjoy Last Christmas by Wham, I think I almost spit out my coffee when I saw the artwork for that one. I have discovered that I slightly prefer the version done by the woman who voices Sailor Mars, but it's pretty reasonably close.
All I Want for Christmas is You is currently #1 in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in its 2nd consistent year. I don't know about you but a relatively recent Holiday song this relevant after almost 30 years is a win for Mariah Carey's pockets. The song is practically inescapable until we die. It will definitely outlast us.
My favorite Chirstmas song is actually So Hot Your Hurting My feelings by Caroline Polachek but actually a chirstmas version she did of it for charity called So Cold Your Hurting My Feelings. It's such a fun song and it helps that I love the original.
Oh Holy Night is the best Christmas song change my mind. Edit: “happy holidays, you bastard” by blink 182 should have been the Blink song he talked bout.
I gotta say Underneath the Tree is my favorite Christmas song of all time hands down. It almost doubles the bop energy of All I Want for Christmas is You and it's not nearly as annoying. Also props to Kelly for also putting out a song called All I Want for Christmas is You that I enjoy more than Mariah's 😂

I adore the MCR version of All I Want for Christmas a lot more than the original myself😁😁 Can I just tell you that Jack White’s “Taking Me Back” mentions Christmas more than freakin “Jingle Bell Rock” and awful “Baby It’s Cold Outside”?😂😂 I love “Candy Cane Children”, it’s underrated!! I listen to the JB Christmas album every year but it’s fine 😤😤 I will say tho, Drummer Boy hasn’t aged too greatly. Busta Rhymes verse is about going to the studio and literally nothing else. The verse ends when he gets to the studio and I can never get over that lol

For as wholesome as the Sia Christmas album is and you can keep it. But I still have a vendetta against Sia for the offensive movie she made that ruined my taste for her music.

My favorite christmas songs are The Elf Song by The Vacancies, Wonderful Christmastime by Paul McCartney, I Dont Want to Fight Tonight by The Ramones, Merry Christmas Kiss My Ass by All Time Low, Nothing for Christmas by New Found Glory, and Last Christmas and Carol of the Bells by anyone.
Father Christmas by the kinks is fun but I started liking Fairytale of New York by the Pogues this year. Also the song with David Bowie and Bing Crosby is one of my faves and from my childhood most tracks on the Muppets Christmas Carol album also the Nightmare before Christmas. I still think it is funny how my mom loved nightmare before Christmas movie way more than I did growing up.
I was basically with you on everything up until NSYNC and that’s just cuz I was a total 90s kid/NSYNC famgirl. I owned 5eir Christmas album and I will admit that my love for this song is purely nostalgic. I would have ranked it a C or a B. Same with Pentatonix.

I haven't heard about 25% of these, I think this just shows how different Christmas songs are in the US and UK. Christmas music is definitely something I started liking less and less as I grew up, but there's still a good amount I enjoy. Glad you don't like All I Want For Christmas Is You. It isn't by definition an awful song, but it's so fucking overplayed and it's the anthem for normie girls, so I hate it. I also enjoy Wonderful Christmastime, and prefer it over War is Over. I'm a big fan of Coldplay, but I've never been a fan of Christmas Lights.

Felix Navidad is easily my least favorite, I’m not a big Christmas music fan but I still don’t understand why people enjoy it outside of nostalgia. So repetitive, no creativity, and just mind numbingly annoying
1. "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" should be #1 in Billboard Hot 100 in the future during the Holiday disaster. We're so tired to see "All I Want For Christmas Is You" a #1 spot for three/four years. 😩 2. Never fan of Sia but "Snowman" is annoying at TikTok, Likee, and CapCut. Same goes to "Mistletoe". 3. About "Wonderful Christmastime" I only know the Demi Lovato cover since I'm not a fan of old music sadly. EDIT: About #2, I was paralyzed and traumatized because of her movie. I was suffered from Autism Spectrum and ADHD for 20 years. Yes. I am not joking but when I watch the trailer of "The Music", it offends me miserably. I got a fatal tantrums and out of mind because of this. Maddie deserves better.
