Hello Jennifer ! Bye bye
I like the 25 and Peppermint collection! Time flies fast enough without us rushing through the seasons, but I’m a slow crafter and I have to start my holiday projects early so they’re finished in time. Excited to see what you do with these.❤🎄
I love te darker collection more than the peppermint, but they're both pretty! And it drives me crazy with the seasonal stuff in the stores! Completely agree!
They are both stunning! When I first saw the 25 and peppermint collection, I immediately thought of you!! My suggestion: make two albums 😁. I’ll be buying both collections for sure.
I know exactly how you feel about retail trying to "rush" the seasons. I think the craft/hobby stores do that for the creators. Most will have to make their items for vendor shows months in advance. I think the home decor stores will do it is because they need to fill their shelves with something. School starts in a few weeks here so the shelves are all back to school and fall items. The summer items have all been sold off earlier in the year or there's not as strong a demand so they need to stock the shelves to keep them looking full with fall things. As far as the paper collections: both are beautiful in their own way. I can see the glossiness of the first collection. I'm not a fan of that texture either. Frank never disappoints! Can't wait to see what you decide to do!
I'm right with you on the super early, out of sesson stuff everywhere. It feels so off. It used to be a couple months early ahead of each season and that always felt nice. But retailers found people will buy stuff six months early, so they put Christmas stuff out in June. I hate that craft suppliers do it too. I get that makers who sell their crafts for the holidays or make crafty gifts need to have it done before Christmas. But so many holiday makes are made during the season...and I love crafting in each season. I start Christmas cards and gifts early but I like making stuff in the season; it just adds to that festive and cozy feeling for me. I'm in the minority- I'm tired of the pink and pastel Christmas stuff. It's pretty, but I'm not feeling it this year. And while Garcia designs pretty papers, they're just the same layouts with some same and some different elements inside. This time it's snowmen with trees, last time it was just snowmen. Clusters of this and that. Postcards and paper collages...it's all been done so many times already. 3 years ago I was like, yeah but look: gingerbread men this time! Look: Santa with a deer; last year it was Santa and a truck so this time it's different. Look: this time it's pink and red rather than pink and green or pink and blue. Now I'm just like: yeah it's pink, basically the same as the one last year and the year before. Look: red stripes and sweater backgrounds been done to bits and watercolor floral clusters in a loose style with paint splashes. A tree in a truck. It's been done so much. And it's not just Prima; I'm feeling that way about several paperlines. The designs used to be much more innovative and I never felt like I was just buying the same stuff over and over. That's such lazy designing and I hate that. Especially with how much patterned paper and ephemera costs these days...I don't feel I'm getting the bang for my buck. Several paperlines are removing singles from their products to remove our option to buy only those couple of sheets we may want. I'm not spending 30 bucks and up for a pad full of the same stuff as last year and the year before. I'm a patterned paper nut and I used to love every release. But it's all too samey now and 8 out of 10 times I am not interested anymore. Lol and that's my rant over.
The red and green collection is lovely but too wintery for me - Christmas is in summer here in New Zealand. I really love the pink collection though. And I totally agree that the green flowers do not match!
I tend to be more traditional with Christmas so I love From the North Pole. Not a pink type of person but the 25 & Peppermint paper is very pretty so yes I like it too. Looking forward to the albums you make with these paper packs.
I love the Frank Garcia 25 & Peppermint collection. Good choice Jen. Just sent off my order for it. You can always find traditional paper collections but the Frank Garcia collection will make a very unique Christmas album.
I feel the same. Well maybe they are trying to give us a head start so we can get projects done in time. Who knows. By the way love both paper collections.
I think they are both absolutely gorgeous! But I think the pink one would be better to use for your journals that you make, because the traditional colors one from prima seems like it’s more geared towards scrapbook pages like using the entire page as a whole. That’s just my opinion. But knowing you, it will be absolutely amazing, whichever pack, you decide to use! Your stuff always is!!
Im not normally so opinionated but I was very neutral on the first pack but WOWOW totally loved the beauty of the second one. Designs were so lovely. It was pretty and made me want to make an album asap!!
There will be no Christmas papers left by Christmas .. then it will be Valentine paper LOL as for the papers. I love the bold traditional colors. There's been a lot of pastels. I could go for a bold colored Christmas album. But, the decision is yours of course ❤
It's for people who sell their craft. It comes out early so you can have everything made by Christmas to sell. 😊 🖐 I like the one with Santa and the pink street lamp behind him the best. So pretty! 💖
@@kathysmith5156 Hi Kathy, You put your questions etc under my comment. I don't think Jennifer will see it. I've done this before too. You may want to repost. 🌺 🙋♀️
lol… I was ranting right along with you ❤ And, as usual, if you recommend any paper…. I go buy everything 😂 just in case! I love making albums with you.
I agree 100% with your rant. I was having the same rant the other day when all of my Facebook groups and RU-vid channels popped up with Christmas projects. 🙃 I don’t understand the need for the “Christmas in July” trend.
But if you're going to make and sell stuff Christmas theme items you have to start early enough so they can get it in time for christmas. If you wait to make something for christmas decorations or to gift with christmas photos from the past in a lovely album and you need it by December then you have to start gathering your supplies and getting it made. I used to make wreaths and if someone wanted a Christmas wreath for their home I needed to have it ready just in case they decorated right after Thanksgiving
Love both collections but would truly love for you to use a digital kit. They are far more affordable and there is no need to have to buy multiple pads because you print as much as you need. Also mist digital collections have so many extras, it would just be a nice change. I know personally it’s hard to financially keep up with all these different collections and it’s discouraging when you want to make a project just like yours and just can’t afford to. Digitals definitely make it more affordable. Someday I would love to see you create a whole digital paper kit, as your artwork is beautiful!!
Jennifer I like both and will order both. I was wondering if you think the Santa Baby will work with the pink Frank Garcia collection? I bought 2 or 3 books of Santa Baby and did not use them. My daughter was diagnosed with cancer and passed away in Nov. 2018. Then I had to have heart surgery after that. All the while never stopped buying paper for all your albums. LOL. Needless to say I have a problem.
