I pressed the letter b on the keyboard then return/enter several times to reapply the stroke until it filled in the way I wanted it. I just realized that wasn't clear. I hope this helps.
You can create a style from the layer options that were applied for the inner portion and a separate style for the fur but you still have to stroke the path as I did in the video to get the fur effect. You can also consider recording an action for the fur. That way all you have to do is create a selection and play the action. This is a little more advanced but if you're comfortable with Photoshop, this is a good way to speed up the process.
If you are in an older version of Photoshop you can go to Edit>>presets>> preset manager>> for preset type choose "Patterns" and click on the triangle at the right, which will show you a menu of preset patterns, load "grayscale paper"
