You’ve got a wonderful mixture of hilarity and respect for history and make genuine archaeological discoveries. I appreciate this, given that Manchester bricklayers are in my DNA so I often wonder, “did my ancestors lay those bricks?” Keep up the great work, the filming and the wonderful lighting and spectacular music. In 1963 at aged 13 I decided to explore a rain water outfall by the Rumney river near Cardiff. I wore a leather helmet to keep the slime on the roof out of my hair and equipped myself with a couple of candles. I ended up underneath the llanrumney housing estate and although in pitch darkness I could hear voices and traffic from the streets above. At one point the pipe got big enough to walk through instead of crawling. Eventually it got too narrow for even the 13 year old. me to crawl through so I made my way back. It was stupid of me to do this on my own but when you are 13 you don’t care. I just wish we had the internet, small video cameras and you tube back then!

Merry xmas to the team. If you had asked me if I would be watching a group of enthusiasts who explored under ground rivers etc. I would have laughed outloud. But the banter, the characters and the places are wonderfully addictive. I now watch every video, in prefrence to mainstreem TV. Its amazing, funny and informative (sometimes). Excellent Christmas viewing. It certainly has been a busy year for you all. Faces that are by now familiar and much well loved, with content to match. My viewing highlights were the abandoned crane on the moors and the woodhead tunnels. That said, I appreciate everything you do, I like the humour and the nuances, such as the tea breaks and cakes. The cycling, and your detective work. Martin I feel could be related to that Victorian sleuth Jerome Caminada .It would make for a great episode to see what you could uncover about his past and if any of it remains to this day. As he was a Mancunian with Italian parents, you shouldn't have to look far for interesting local connections. Just a suggestion. Merry Christmas and a very amazing new year.
