I like the dedication it takes to do exactly one video each year and no more. Actually I could watch a thousand of these to be honest.

Although it is still October, I am definitely thinking Christmas - gathering baking supplies, making sure there is enough wrapping paper, etc. And Christmas cards! Cards from the store may be alright for aquaintances, but for my nearest and dearest, only handmade cards will do. I was running out of ideas until I ran into your videos. I do some calligraphy (I'm a beginner) but I want to make beautiful cards for my family. Perhaps, if I practice long and hard enough my cards will be half as nice as yours. Thanks for the inspiration.

Another wonderful video. I, too, enjoy Oscar (and am trying to tell my Louie that it IS possible to watch and not touch). I've instructed him to watch the video until he can do so. I've not done calligraphy since one semester in community college way back in 1978. Whenever I see your work, it inspires me to want to try again. What nib, ink and paper are you using here? Beautiful video!....Please post videos more often...I could watch one everyday!!

I've noticed you sometimes apply the ink (paint?) on top of the nib and sometimes underneath. Why the difference?

What kind of paper do you use for these?
