Navy COVID restrictions have us staying in our home and leave is not impossible, but a severe challenge. I was quarantined during Thanksgiving and spent 10 days alone home staring at the walls.

It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner and now without my mom and dad for the first time. Dad passed in August and mom's funeral is tomorrow. God's grace is sufficent for me.
Hey John, my heart and prayers are with you. My parents both died within about a year of each other a few years back - life just isn't the same without parents, no matter how old you are. But definitely, God's grace is good, and sufficient.

Was my dad's favorite Christmas song. Everytime I hear it, I think of him. Sang it with him as a child. We would make one of our twice yearly pilgrimages to "home" in the NC mountains at Christmas time every year. I'm in my 60's now. Precious memories.
These guys! IF their music weren't so good, IF the vocals weren't so tight (inseparable) because they're all related, IF the cinematography weren't so calming, then you'd STILL be filled with sheer joy at the way they all enjoy and appreciate each other's company! The smiles tell it all. Just another way that the unconditional love of Jesus Christ (when authentic) permeates and fills every part of a believer's live. God is good!

Loved the music. Reminds me of my family. We were all musical and would have some of the best bluegrass and southern gospel music when we all got together around the holidays. One of the best things that happened this year is discovering this group. I'm not a fan of Christmas song and they even make those sound good. This group is beyond amazing.
Aside from certain Christmas hymns, this is my favorite Christmas song. I listen to several versions, Jerry Reed's being my favorite. I may have found a new favorite rendition of the song. All of the musicians are great and Ellen does a wonderful job singing it.

Normally I can't handle Christmas music at all, but the Petersen's can even make Christmas songs sound good. I've lost count of how times I've played this video.

Although a proud Country & Western artist to most fans, Glen Campbell refuted claims that he was pure country and western saying he had played backing on a number of pop and rock artists chart toppers in his early years. Remember him also playing the William Tell Overture on his guitar with an orchestra in his later years

Ellen è stata veramente molto carina nei nostri confronti, citando i nostri nomi come “traduttori” dei loro testi, assieme a Frank, un ragazzo olandese che sta facendo un gran bel lavoro traducendo nella sua lingua. Lei ha poi chiesto pubblicamente se ci fossero altri disposti a fare le traduzioni in altre lingue. Volevo poi dirti che questa canzone rientra nel prossimo Branson Christmas Show 2020, che sarà reso pubblico questo venerdì, dove sono presenti diverse tue traduzioni. Lì è già stata caricata una mia traduzione di questa canzone che, ovviamente, è leggermente diversa (ognuno ha il suo proprio stile). A cominciare dal titolo “Il Natale sta arrivando” che ho voluto accorciare appositamente per questioni di metrica (“il Natale” detto così viene inteso generalmente anche come periodo natalizio e non solo come il giorno di Natale). Ma va benissimo anche come hai scritto tu “Il tempo di Natale” e, ti assicuro, che per me non c’è alcun problema se Liz vuole caricare la tua traduzione in questo video che, da una prima lettura, mi sembra ottima. Volevo però che ci fosse un maggiore coordinamento tra noi in maniera da non sovrapporci con le traduzioni. Una cosa che ti consiglio di fare è quello che faccio io abitualmente e cioè di selezionare nei vari video i commenti dal più recente - clicchi su ORDINA PER e poi selezioni la voce DAL PIU’ RECENTE - in questo modo puoi vedere se c’è già qualche mio post recente, con la traduzione per quel video, che Liz non ha ancora caricato. Oppure puoi anche scrivermi direttamente in un commento o rispondere ad uno mio (tanto io riesco a vederli tutti). Ho visto poi che non hai tradotto la parola “aardvarks” che in italiano significa “oritteropi” che sono dei mammiferi africani simili ai formichieri. Non so se sia importante (anche perché non so quanti italiani sappiano realmente cos’è un oritteropo…), e poi perché Katie l’ha detta solo per fare la rima con Ozarks. Ho solo voluto avvisarti che nel "Christmas Show" di venerdì ci sarà una traduzione diversa. Al momento ho mandato le traduzioni di "Back Home Again", "Go Tell John" e "Tulsa Time" (Liz non le ancora caricate e se le trovi e gli dai uno sguardo, mi puoi suggerire qualche modifica). questo perché sto completando la traduzione del quinto live e mi occorrevano quelle. Per il resto sto traducendo solo le nuove canzoni perché è una priorità che escano con le traduzioni già pronte. Incredibly beautiful video, a happy family who turned their hobby into a profession (vocation). That's how God intended it, I love your music and it makes me especially happy to see you all so balanced and happy.
