I know this is the most American Christmas movie ever lol It's all about gifts and buying s*** and having the perfect party. It's not simply about having a few lights around the house and maybe a tree and inviting friends over and enjoying their presence.

My dad and I just watched this on Amazon Prime, and we both laughed so hard... we really enjoyed it!! I thought it was going to be a "National Lampoon"-type movie, but I was wrong!

This film actually did seem like a National Lampoon Vacation film. The neighbors hated the Kranks much like Todd and Margo hated the Griswolds. Luther clumsily decorated the house the same way Clark decorated his. Luther's half-hearted toast, while having the opposite amount of energy as Clark's profane outburst, is still reminiscent of Clark's frustration. Luther finally confronting Mr. Scheel mirrors the exchange between Clark and Mr. Shirley.

Hilarious Christmas movie from the early 2000’s. It was different to see Tim Allen out of his Santa Clause roll and try to spoil the Christmas spirit. But the ending was touching and I truly love this classic.

Yeah agree I enjoyed it 😊 so much truer than any other seasonal movie of these days. Ever so comic... with the box of tinned ham squashed under the lorry😂 and in the Mall almost naked in front of everyone😳and neighbors doing spiteful things and using binoculars 🤪. This is an insight that even if you don't conform or like your neighbors there is still a spirit of community when really needed.🙄

Watch this every Xmas. But it makes no sense. They drop off their daughter at the airport. Drive to get chocolate, she calls from the plane while dad's in the store. That night they decide to skip Xmas. A week later daughters coming home engaged......she's been gone a week at most!!

I enjoy this movie and watch it each year, but these neighbors must live in the safest, most crimeless and financially productive town in America to be so bored to care about what someone does for the holidays. The town even put the story on the front page. It makes the movie even funnier that people care that much.

This is one of the worst christmas movies I ever saw in my life, but, I enjoy watching it every year just to rip on it. I hate how they try to make Tim Allen’s character look like a jerk just for not wanting to celebrate the holidays for ONE TINY YEAR without their daughter around
