Christoforos Papakaliatis talks about "Maestro in Blue" on Netflix - "In The Spotlight" with Yanna 

Luckiest accident was finding this series without any recommendation. What a masterpiece! In this age of mindless CGI laden action, superhero, Marvel junk it's so heartwarming to lose yourself in this beautiful story of the human experience. It is perfect in every aspect. It haunts me and will for some time. I hope word of mouth will spread this gem to many many others. It is so deserving of the highest praise.

Have loved Greek music and culture since my early teens. But, Maestro in Blue will leave an indelible mark in my memory. Great story telling, real life messages, human suffering, joy, sadness, loss, and evolution of the human race. Bravo Christoforos Papakaliatis and his amazing crew of actors and moviemakers! Can't wait for the next episodes to unfold.

I didn't know Greeks were so Romantic. These series came out as a surprise to me. It grows on you. Very well Written and each Character is Narrated so well. Highly Recommended Must Watch!

Just watched this serie. Most fantastic serie I ever watched ❤

I loved this series and it stayed with me for a long time. What I particularly liked was that all the characters were inspired - but also broken - by love. The connecting factor was music and also loss of some sort. The episodes which moved me the most was the one where idealism (of the one Europe idea) was broken too. We all want to be inspired by big grand ideas but in the end, life gets in the way and in the process we lose ourselves. Things like music brings us back. I made sure to share my recommendation of this series to all my family and relatives here in Australia because I must be the only Greek in Australia who DOESN'T have GreekTV so it was a delightful surprise to see it on Netflix. I look forward to the new series.

I know there are plans to release Maestro in Blue series 2 : please, the sooner the better! Everything about this series is excellent. The writing captivates you from the very beginning and the actors/actresses bring it to life. We lived on the island of Crete, in Iraklion, for four years while my husband was in the U.S. Air Force. We've been going back every year since 2014 with the exception of Covid. Last year we got to participate in the small village celebrations; similar to the music festival on Paxos, where we witnessed the traditions continuing among the Greek families and friends. What a wonderful experience. We'll be back again this year but can't wait for next Spring for Season 2 of Maestro in Blue! Good job!!!

I came back from Corfu 2 weeks ago. And of course I did a 1 day trip to Paxos , Antipaxos. This series is the reason I went there 😍 The scenery is indeed breathtaking. Something unique! I simply love Greece - the food, the nature, its people. But who doesn’t ? So looking forward to season 2🎉

A brilliant series. The wcenery, the script, the acting...and the music. All of it was wonderful. Smart of Netflix to add to its catalog and now I want to see more from everyone involved. The narration of each main character - brilliantly done.

I had just came back from visiting .y favourite greek islands last year and when i returned I opened Netflix with the idea that i will never find anything worth watching and my oh my howucky j was to stumble across such an amazing series. I am really in love with the essense of Greece and this series brings out every element. Tbe emotions, the senses , the feelings, the music. This director is so talented, cant wait for season 2 ❤❤❤

J ai vu la série par hasard sans aucune recommandation j ai beaucoup aimé une histoire simple. Ce qui m’a attiré le plus. Le fait de prendre chaque personnage. Comme héros en racontant son passé et l île est beau la nature l eau ça soulage merci aussi ça était une découverte de la culture grecque

Hello from Ireland. Holy moly cannoli, (2) Greeks who talks fluently English (while the one promote his last job abroad), they talk English (probably for English audiences). Why they don't do the same back Greece, to switch off language (for English audiences??). Watching (the trailer) + interview, Christoforos Papakaliatis series, probably has all that needs for international competition - to go neck to neck with many other series on Netflix, (who don't worth nothing at whole). I watched him during (mid 90's, early 00's and goes on, I lost him some time after 04), I liked to see him, create something with his style for English audience in US-UK. To challenge them watch more culture TV series (than that jokes US industry produce). Bravo for what you made this time, keep going 4 more!!

I watched the 2 seasons in Greek and then again in English. I'm not usually a fan of films that are dubbed but I must say that didn't bother me and I caught a few things I had missed the first time. WHEN IS THE NEXT SEASON? I CAN'T WAIT bravo Maestro

I gave up my morning, spellbound, mysic,scenery,loved the picture frame of where the photographer pulls back and widens the frame and stops for 4 -5 seconds of a massive tree either side its amazing, Anthonys,father Charalombos, particularly gifted performance. Great series, love `Greece, but the content at first i thought was just very greek, but actually as it progresses, the family issues and general situations are global problems and the characters archetypes..brilliant
