As a child I couldn't sleep at night because I was afraid of the dark and I always had the radio on and Christopher Cross absolutely dominated the night time Airwaves when I was a kid in the late seventies early eighties
Christopher, I absolutely adore your voice 💙 Your singing is amazing ❤ I love all of your songs💙 You did an excellent job writing them ❤ Your guitar playing is phenomenal 💙 Thank you for all of your hard work ❤ I appreciate you tremendously 💙 Much love from Gini in South Carolina 🫶🫶🫶
His memory is a little bit off: “Taking It To the Streets” was recorded and released in 1975, and the Christopher Cross debut album was recorded and released four years later, in 1979.
@@crnkmnkyKenny Loggins’ “This Is It” was released in October 1979, so that could possibly have been recorded in July of 79. Probably woulda been at a different studio (Columbia), but maybe Michael McDonald was really constantly driving all over town popping up at the right place at just the right time, like in the famous Rick Moranis portrayal of him, so it mighta just seemed like he was right next door.😄
@@jeremycrandall2899 Yeah, SCTV nailed it! 🎙️ Loggins recorded his album at Heider Recording and Santa Barbara Sound. He got Michael _Jackson_ to do background vocals on one song too! Music all over town. What a time and place to have been.
@@Sonex1542, MaebyBaby, watch The 40-year Old Virgin movie and you’ll see that Paul Rudd’s character is not a fan of Michael McDonald after hearing him on 20 TV’s for several hours while working at a Best Buy kinda store.
