I stopped watching Rose in the mid 90s because i could no longer tolerate his interruptions and his constant inserting himself into the story. He's especially bad in this interview. Probably because he had to work especially hard to defend the establishment from Hitchens.

Charlie Rose was a great interviewer and just doing his job. He was obviously a great admirer of Hitchens and Hitchens enjoyed the interview.

He is challenging Christopher's arguments and getting him to substantiate them. Its not opinionated, he's asking Christopher the realistic objections that any opposition to Chris would have. Its actually very good interviewing, its better than just saying yes, yes, tell us your thoughts, next question, yes, yes.

On every subject? Seriously? Hitchens was smart, no doubt. But hardly does he speak for all of who are rational, God-fearing true Christians. If he {Hitchens} were truly an intellect like so many groveling half-witted people think that he was, he would still be alive; he would have been smart enough to stay away from the cigarettes and the scotch.
