These men were the end of an era. With the passing of Sir Christopher, it has become painfully obvious that there will never again be three actors (let alone one) who will emit the level of class that these 3 men did. I'm not okay with that. It makes me sad. But, this alarming realization does make Vincent, Peter and Chris all the more special. For over two years this era has been over. I feel the void more and more each day. I'm glad I have access to their interviews and films. It creates a warnesss in my heart that not much else can. I'm only 36, but I grew up on these films. Pre-internet...I had accumulated all of their films on VHS by the mid nineties (paying upwards to 200.00 for one out of print video tape). I was a teenage detective hunting down these films without the use of any internet. Lots of reading, researching and long distance calls were involved (and pissed off parents I might add). I have since owned all of their films on DVD...and now bluray. I will continue to purchase them in whatever form they come out on. God bless these men and their families.

On a whole... As much as I like Christopher Lee and I do. I'd rather sit with Peter Cushing , Vincent Price and depending on how he was behaving at the time Oliver Reed. Peter Cushing was indeed a gentleman. Quiet soft spoken and a man who loved his fans. Vincent Price who in reality wasn't anywhere near as scary as he behaves in movies. He had a wonderful nature and sence of humour. And made no bones about his deep care for fans. For a horror movie actor who didn't scare young fans who adored him. Oliver Reed I see as an amazing talent . But he was far too unpredictable. When he was drunk (unfortunately more often than not) no person was safe from his practical jokes and sadly often bad temper. He was ok when he was sober. Like he was here. Christopher Lee still scares the hell out of me.

Chris Evans I just found out today that he played in The Wicker Man after reading up on him. And after hearing him describe it as the best movie role of his career etc I’m dying to watch it. I only hope I can track it down. He was a legend as an Actor and as a Man. There is not another person that can come close to touching his life if they had 2 lifetimes to do it.

The war helped shape him. Though officially he was listed as "support", he was in SOE, a secret unit. When a director said to him I want you to imagine somebody being stabbed in the back, Lee's answer was "I don't have to imagine!" He knew the true face of war.!

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful man when he flew into the airport that I was working at the time. A true movie icon and for the short time i was in his company i really felt i was in the company off movie greatness. Christopher was about 92 years old at the time and i have a wonderful photo of that meeting that I often look at with great fondness.

Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing were two true gentlemen. There were many big stars who were there in person or offered congratulations through film clips, yet Christopher and Peter were the closest of friends throughout their lives. Aside from his immediate family, I feel Peter's attendance meant the most to Christopher. Its touching to see. Two great talents very much missed.

Actually the real first movie Dracula was a German consentration camp survivor people barely remember ... But the movie he played in was so scary it still has people who won't watch it all the way through. The amazing Kurt Van Danghorne who was the Dracula in Nosferatu. Bela Lugosi and his unique style and manner. The way he spoke still gives chills. Buried in his Dracula Cape when he died. Christoper Lee was a good Dracula. But he wasn't the best. The three Musketeers... That was awesome.

Afraid of typecasting, Christopher Lee relocated to LA in 1977, where he won many leading roles in American movies. One he turned down was the role of Dr Rumack, made famous by Leslie Neilsen in the 1980 cult comedy 'Airplane'. He said he kicked himself about missing out on that movie's success. His appearance on 'This is Your Life' shows what a great sense of humour he had - Leslie Neilsen was great of course, but I would love to have seen the great Christopher Lee in a full on comedy role like that. I'm sure he'd have been amazing.
