I'd call Daemon the last true dragonlord.

I really like the theory that this song is actually a spell to reinforce the targaryan bond with with dragons. Look up targaryan lemur theory.

If you look at Daemon lineage, it shows that he's pure Valyrian unlike his nephews (Aegon, Aemond, and Daeron). His parents were both Targaryens, his grandparents were both Targaryens, his great grandfather was Targaryean and married a Valeryon, and great great grand parents were Aegon and Rhaenys Targaryean. This is probably why he didn't approve of his first marriage to lady Rhae Royce. He believes that the Targaryean blood is far superior than the others. Daemon is the last remnant of pure Valyria, he is himself the last dragon!

Daemon sounds so eerie, majestic, imposing, dark, erotic and regal. Truly a Prince of dragons.

I would like to think that this song is actually a lullaby sung to each Targaryen child.

Beautiful siren voice you have. Dragons love songs like us, it gives us a glimpse of the tragedy of Dragons. Which is that they are few in number than in the glory days of the Valyrian Freehold. It gives us the emotion of sadness that Dragons are dying race that can easily be destroyed by some foolish people. Tragedy of an extinct culture. This song shows us that Daemon is the closest to a Valyrian Dragonlord we got, because he understands and embraces the Dragons better than the other members of house Targaryen. He knows that you have to form a connection with the Dragon like a relationship, for Dragons don't take commands like dogs do. By showing respect to the Dragons, you get a loyal companion for the rest of your life. Aemond and Lucaerys learned it the hard way. It also shows us that the Dragons are not beasts, but sentient beings that have emotions and physical weaknesses. Dragons never stop growing as long they are not in captivity and can eat as much as they want. Enjoy freedom as any living being.

I like to think Aegon, the Conqueror or Visenya wrote this song as tribute to Rhaenys and Meraxes after their deaths in Dorne. It makes it all the more sad, but all the more powerful.

Honestly if Vissy had claimed his grandpa's dragon after taking the throne i feel like a lot of shit woulda been chiller. Certainly no stepstones drama with a confident Viserys riding the Bronze Fury.

It kinda sounds like a ritual to create dragons. From the S2 tapestry it showed a dragon like figure with a human head, a man is shown holding a dagger and in front of him is a kneeling woman. There is also fire and blood imagery, "the two heads sing to a third one" could be the man and the woman bonding with a dragon. This is most likely some deep lore about dragons and Valyria, and the explanation behind the 3 heads which could be the wyrm that turns into a dragon, Azor Ahai and his wife Nissa Nissa. This would mean that Nissa Nissa was sacrificed in order to birth dragons, literally. And we know that fire and a human sacrifice are what allowed Dany to hatch her dragon eggs. No wonder this song is used by Daemon to bond with dragons, or at least appease them. It's likely a ritual since the days of Old Valyria. Damn the showrunners have been cooking all this time.

It's just a fictional show we have fun discussing😊 Since the Targaryens and everybody is so obsessed with Targaryen blood purity and incest, it occurred to me to compare Nyra and Aegon II in terms of how much Targaryen blood they had. I mean people use a lot of silly metrics to justify things, So why not have fun and look at it? Alyssane Targaryen was Rhaenyra's great grandmother. She was Jahaerys' "sister wife"- daughter of Aenys I Targaryen (100%) and Alyssa Velaryon (0%). Thus, Alyssane was 50% Targaryen. Now Alyssane (50%) married Jaeherys (50%), so their daughter Daella Targaryen was 50% Targaryen. Now Daella (50%) married Sir Roderick Arryn (0%) and had Aemma Arryn. So Aemma is 25% Targaryen. Now Aemma (25%) married Viserys I Targaryen (50%). So their daughter Rhaenyra is >!37.5% Targaryen!< I've got time to kill today 😂 I am not doing this for Aegon - you are free to, if you like. I believe Aegon would be 25% Targaryen (assuming Alicent is 0%). Of course all this is assuming that Aegon the conqueror and his wives are 100% Targaryen.
