Eu tinha apenas 14 anos quando vi The Sound of Music pela primeira vez, há muitas décadas atrás, era apenas uma garota sonhadora que se deslumbrou com aquele homem bonito e elegante. Depois fui descobrindo mais sobre ele, vi que era também um grande ator de teatro. Tentei assistir todos os filmes em que ele atuou e revi muitas vezes The Sound of Music. In 1964 when this came out, a music teacher had the bright idea to merge 4 different elementary school kids together to sing of all of the major songs of the Sound of Music. It was quite an ordeal to practice and get ready. It was a big deal and the whole town of 15,000 came out to see it. This music teacher was really smitten by the Sound of Music. She had to be to go through everything that she did to pull off the whole programs. We all had uniform shirts it was a big deal. I must have been 10 because I was born in 1954. That was back when Public Schools were respected and the robber barons were not trying to privatize them.
