@@stalitzz Yeah I reckon it's more of a schmuck micro expression showing pride because Paulie needed that to feel more of a man, rather than having it experienced it himself since he had more goomahs than Chrissy
Lmao exactly and they hadn't even done any H, just weed and some lines. Meanwhile Carmella was getting drunk as hell anyways and so were most of the people at the wake lmao.
Every bit of dialogue and it's delivery in this scene is perfect. Paulie's little sideways look when Ade says "...you can no longer function as a man" has me in bits every time!
In a way, the nonsense Chris was spewing at the wake about there being another Livia Soprano kinda predicted Gloria Trillo. Ironically for an instant he was the most lucid character on the show
@@amarhussain1309 Well yeah but clearly that was out the window in the moment, both Paulie and Sil aren't supposed to lately their hands on him either lol, but he called his own mutha a fuckin hewah so by the laws of all Italians they got to beat him.
Tony not being able to get over Christopher killing the dog always be my favorite part of this scene…besides Paulie & Silvio beating the shut out of him
@Bret Pardon check out Joey Diaz podcast, I forget which episode but he goes in detail where gandolfini would go on benders and wouldn’t show up to set for a couple days and would pay the production crews for the time wasted. Also too James ex wife has gone into detail about his coke problem you can google that. But yeah, super sad as I’ve battled cocaine addiction, but luckily I’m two years clean and got my shit together, some people don’t get lucky like I did.
@Bret Pardon What he said is the truth, a lot of people in Hollywood have those demons, hell I do to. James was snorting with 3 hands. Nicest guy ever but this kind of life isn't all magic and glamour. It's stressful, your whole life on display, no privacy and the hours he put into that show. RIP JIM
"WHEN I CAME IN TO OPEN UP ONE MORNING THERE YOU WERE WITH YOUR HEAD HALF IN THE TOILET.. YOUR HAIR WAS IN THE TOILET WATER.. DISGUSTING"- SILVIO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@holetohell4140 He has empathy because animals feed his ego. Animals, especially domesticated animals like dogs, are generally loyal to you and you can train them to do things. Tony likes animals because they cannot challenge him or damage his ego the way humans can and should.
I know this is hard to believe but I recently just started watching the show last week. I got to the episode of the intervention and was just rolling laughing
This is great writing. I mean, how else did we expect a bunch of tough mobsters were going to react to an intervention? Love how Silvio was actually taking it semi-seriously lmao
I like how benny was just in the background the whole time and didn’t have any dialogue. It’s like they put him in the scene solely to get his ass kicked lol
01:32 another moment proving that Soprano's writing was absolutely amazing. Chase was clever enough to connect Christopher killing the dog with Chrostopher's death from Tony's hand. Shivers.
For all the classless things those guys did, it sure did warm my heart to see Pauli’s and sil defend chrissys mom like that. You won’t see that these days
The comedy on the sopranos is one of the more underappreciated aspects of the show. This scene is legit as funny as anything that I’ve seen on television over the past 20 years🤣
Paulie saying about the dog.... "what was it doing.... Barking or something " as if to say that Chrissy would have been justified in killing the dog because she was barking 😂
Oscar L, that's a good question, I didn't think about that until you said it. But to be honest, once some guy calls his own mother a whore, I think the whole world has permission to give him a beating.
Silvio's speech and him knocking over the intervention guy to get to Christopher was hilarious. This was a dark scene with some great comic relief moments.
I love when Paulie grabs Christopher when he talks about Tony, he all of sudden goes old school, you don't talk to the Boss like that regardless family or not LOL
