"Cooking is like a hobby and you get to eat it ." No sexism about cooking is for women. Chris Walken thinks outside the box and I gather that he does not like to be disturbed in the creative process. Going outside means that you have to conform like right now and wear a hospital mask. He believes in serendipity and being in the moment. As a school teacher I enjoying wearing avant garde clothes and never taught the same lesson without giving it a new twist. Repetition dulls the brain and surprise and laughter stimulates it. He grew up in a family bakery and in France and Quebec it is a highly prized art and guess what? "You get to eat it!"
Peter Travers had an opportunity and blew it again...CW gives interviews but cares not about "image" ...he just loves to work so much that others: actors, directors, producers, etc. love to work with him
The interviewer is unworthy of interviewing the blissfully amazing Walken, if I was his interviewer I would be so much more polite but still inquisitive, as there are many sides to him that I wish to unlock.
This interview is like 80% the same as the interview they did together for Rolling Stone (search Christopher Walken and "Off the cuff with Peter Travers" here on youtube)
omg, the interviewer is so annoying!! how can a professional interview the legendary Christopher freaking Walken and behave like he's making fun of him?!
I'm just so in love w/ that guy ! Christopher Walken is so beyond endlessly cool. Talk about no one like him in this world he is such a one-of-a-kind person I love his voice his mannerisms his quirkiness. The man moves like an angel. He is definitely something else I will be lost when that man's gone. He is so unique such a 🌟
I actually would love to hear CW sing that entire Stones tunes. And i agree with the others on this thread hat Travers sucks as an interviewer. Seen 2 back to back. He blows!!, Must be how he got a job with RollingStone magazine.
walken is very much like cagney both started out as hoofers and both move like dancers...which is why it is almost impossible to take your eyes off either when they are on screen
"If you dance you're musical..." WTF?!? That's insulting to those of us who are musicians and to those that are serious dancers!!! Both art forms involve music and rhythm but that's exactly as far as that whole thing goes!!! I play several instruments and I sing (Had he said "You're a musician so you can sing" it would still be erroneous and insulting to singers but I could maybe start to understand - maybe) but that IN NO WAY means I can accomplish anything even remotely close to what my sister, the dancer in the family, can accomplish. Nor would I expect to see her pick up my bass and just start playing Mozart or even Bieber for that matter!!! It's dismissive to the talent and practice and sheer amount of effort required to produce art of any form! By that standard I should also be one hell of a sculptor - too bad I'm not. I've never even tried outside of 4th grade art class. I rarely go off like this (As in never) but HOLY SHIT did this asshole just find my button and LEAN on it!!!
