Can you imagine if he'd never become an actor and just taken over the family bakery instead? "Cupcakes...I baked, three dozen...I can see now...they're gone."
Actually Christopher Walken does a lousy Christopher Walken impression. In all interviews I'm waiting for him to sound cool like the impressionists, but get nothing. Seriously.
drServitis I've noticed this myself....is it possible that Chris talks more like the impersonators when he in fact is acting? So far that has been my experience. Seems like this is part of his on screen persona with a touch of creep behind it😶😉
I always wondered if Walken's strange cadence in speaking was partly a result of his having immigrant parents. Though I have my doubts about my theory anymore. His mother was a Scottish immigrant and his father was German.
My favorite actor of all time. Its amazing how versatile he was. He was a dramatic actor in 70s and early 80s, then became a villain role actor when he had the scary stare with his eyes in 80s and early 90s, but when he got older and his look became tamer he took on comedy roles, and amazing excelled in all these in the late 90s and 2000s. King of cameos and weird characters, but such a likable guy. Oh yeah, and he danced through all these decades every other 10th movie or so!
This proves you don’t need tap shoes to tap dance, of course this is Chris Walken we are talking about. I’m always waiting to see him again in movies ❤
Christopher Walken- brilliant, self-effacing, multi-talented... I fell in love with his performance when seeing him for the first time in The Dead Zone. The man's a genius!!!
I like his thinking about money, money doesn't make the man, just look at a the phoonies Hollywood has made, the future actors and actresss could learn a lot about intilledment for this man
I’ve watched mor recent interviews and what’s great is the older he gets the more he doesn’t hold back what makes him so funny. I think it’s because he’s really self aware and plays it off but it’s a great ability cultivate as one ages.
We misunderstand constantly that the industry celebrates the celebrity of stardom instead of the stories a guy like christopher walked tells us..director's and producers are the heroes
"From here on, nothing goes down unless Im involved. No black jack, no dope deals, no nothing. A nickel bag gets sold in the park, I want in! You guys got fat while everybody starve on the streets. Its my turn." -Christopher Walken in King of New York
At 7:00 He says,"He invited me to eat lunch one day and he was eating penne with pomodoro" Pomodoro means tomato in Italian. The dish is actually called Pasta Al Pomodoro. It is a very light dish which has olive oil, tomatoes, basil and pasta.
Hey, I remember this episode! I was only 11 years old and didn't know who Christopher Walken was, but I'd been excited about the new BATMAN movie for months, so my parents must have let me stay up to watch the interview. It's funny, because I can barely remember anything other than that.
No worries mate. I apologize if I came off as a wanker in my initial post. :-) He truly is an amazing and incredibly unique actor. I really wish I could do a passable Christopher Walken imitation. It's the voice everyone kind of wishes they could do. hehe Cheers.
