Yes. "Porneia" is used 26x in the New Testament -- hundreds of similar cross references in the OT -- including by Yahshua Himself. Furthermore, being a rabbi, direct lineage of Judah and heir of David -- He knew his Torah. Which is why Yahshua, when asked about divorce, refers back to Genesis 2 where a man will leave his home and cleave to a woman. And Yahshua's parables were always about a Bride and a Groom. Plus, he was speaking to an audience who knew their Torah. They all knew that anything -- ANYTHING -- outside of one man, one woman in the context of a covenantal matrimony was sin. Furthermore, Paul was appointed and anointed by Yahshua, and deals with porneia even more.

Also, the stories of the Norse gods (which you can easily look up yourself) includes stories of how those gods were CREATED -- Nordic paganism has never said anything about their gods creating the world or universe, only ruling it when they were alive. So yeah, I already know we're never going to get past this impasse, but the God of the Bible is a CREATOR -- Norse gods like Odin are CREATED. There's plenty in the Bible about people choosing to worship the CREATED instead of the CREATOR.
Christians have such a hard time realizing that your book only applies you y'all. The rest of us do as we please. Do you do what the Vedas say? Do you do what the Quran teaches? Are you bound by the Eddas? Then why do you think all of us are regulated by YOUR book????
Spoken like a true Pharisee. But I pray God will have one of His servants cross your path and lead you out of Catholicity into Christianity. Homosexuality is an abomination, and God does not like divorce, though He permits divorce when one is unfaithful. Our Lord Himself divorced Israel (read Jeremiah). Be careful judging others, for God likes even less a hypocrite. Have you ever looked upon someone with sexual delight? If so, and you are married, then you have commited adultery in your heart, according to Jesus' teaching. If you are not married, you still committed the sin of spiritual fornication. And if you have prayed to anyone but God, like Mary or some other dead saint, then you have surely committed the sin of fornication as declared multiple times in Scripture.
@@joarcokru I am a Bible translator and professor of NT Greek and can assure you that nothing has changed in the original text. But you are correct in commenting that interpretation changes. Man has always sought to have God conform to his finite concept of Him, always to his own destruction. As for Catholicity, the terrible end of that apostate organization is clearly described in Rev.17; only the blindest of the spiritually blind will fail to recognize papal Rome in this important chapter. Historians, even before Eusebius, recorded that Christians widely referred to Rome as Babylon. The early church was Catholic; but after Constantine legalized Christianity, Rome hijacked the church and replaced Jesus's teaching in Scripture with its own heretical traditions. So there is an infinitely great difference between the original Catholic church and Roman Catholicism. If you possess intellectual curiosity, you will do well to do a little research on the use of the preposition in Mt.16:18. The entire Roman Catholic organization is built on the mistranslation of the three letter word, 'epi'. Jesus names Simon as Peter, 'Petros'. Then He states that "with" ('epi') 'petra' (i.e. living stones) He will build His church. The preposition is in the dative case, the indirect object of the verb, "will build." To render 'epi' as "on" as in the common gentive case is not only erroneous, it is dishonest. Matthew uses the same construct in 18:26, where the dative preposition is rightly translated as "with." If Jesus wanted to say He will build His church on Peter, He would have repeated his name, 'Petros'. But Jesus used another term, 'petra', emphasizing that He will build His church WITH people, living stones, like Peter. Petros = Rock, or Rocky, a nickname. Petra = rock as in a substance, generic granite. We say something is built with stones or bricks, not on stones. That so many people fail to see what is so clearly written in the original Greek text is amazing. Perhaps 2Cor.3:16 and Jn.3:3 explain the ignorance: only when a person is born again is the blinding veil lifted, after which this truth becomes quite obvious; and the soul is saved from the apostate church to enjoy true Christianity, with peace that passes all understanding. The unsaved will, of course, fail to see and argue for papal Rome. They are described in Mt.7:21-23, the most bone-chilling piece of literature man will ever read.
What a perversion of God's words! What an abomination presenting God as an 'hermaphroditic creature', where God is a 'Spirit', in order to justify once's own imagination even mental perversion. Bible clearly states that marriage is a union between man and woman (2 individuals) that shouldn't be separated, and by all means is not a gynandromorph.
Jesus is the winter sun of five signs/months (male). At the spring equinox, he comes out wearing the golden girdle of Aphrodite as the summer sun (female) of seven signs/months. Rev 1. The five signs/months are found in Rev. 9. See Isaiah 47.3, where Isaiah comes out of winter, not as a man (barren earth) but as a woman (nurturing earth). This is also where Japheth (spring) covers Noah (earth) with a green blanket of verdure.
@@harveywabbit9541 all the books and chapters that you have mentioned has nothing to do with each other in terms of homosexuality and gay marriage...how desperate
Jesus didn’t need to address the subject of homosexual marriage because it is already condemned in the Old Testament. It is also roundly condemned in the New Testament. On the day of judgement, people who have been engaged in this aweful sinful perversion and haven’t confessed and asked forgiveness for their sin will be headed straight to hell - for eternity.
I never heard his point? We can make the word seem to say whatever we choose. Just understand at the end of our journey. We will give account and any and all justification will not matter!
In the beginning was the word… Who was the word? Therefore he gave the law about homosexuality. I like using this because it shows the link between the old and New Testament for those Christians who say show me.
Jesus also said He did not come to abolish the law but fulfill it, so He did confirm the Torahs teaching which does specifically address the issue so technically He was not silent on the matter.
I hope you know, that God created the Rainbow as a Promise and Sign, that he won't flood the Earth ever again (Genesis 9:12-17). And I hope you know, that the rainbow Flag used by LGBTQ has nothing to do with Jesus/Chrstianity and that it's not the real Rainbow. Your Comment has to be the stupidest one I've read in a while. Unbelievable 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Yes! I always use Mat. 19 in conjunction with Heb. 13:4 for this topic. Avoids the obscure discussion about pedophilia that people bring up when you bring up 1 Cor/Romans passages.
So given that, what is the biblical reason for marriage between multiple people (man with several wives) that happens in the Bible? Is there something that condemns or condones that?
The only argument anyone has about gay marriage is their shaking their fist at Jesus and in their heart saying I will not have this Godman to rule over me.

Jesus specifically addressed the Jews during his earthly ministry. The reason he never would have had to bring up homosexuality, or beastiality or incest and things of that sort is because those things were universally considered sinful according to the culture. They did take the law of Moses quite seriously, after all. The reason Paul did address it specifically is because he was talking to the Gentiles, among which those practices were commonplace. For all the people who think Jesus had to specifically address an issue or it wasn't addressed properly, you need to realize that context is everything in the Bible. When something was addressed, there was a reason for it. If it wasn't addressed, there wasn't a reason to do so at that time and place. Paul's words are not opposed to those of Jesus. They are simply expanding on what Jesus already taught, to different people in different places at different times. What Paul taught was approved of by Peter and the other direct disciples of Christ, the men who spent essentially the entire ministry of Jesus learning directly from him. If they disagreed with what he taught as being against Jesus' teachings, then they would have corrected him or denounced him. As it was, he started as a Pharisee in training who persecuted followers of Jesus until Jesus appeared to him and caused him to repent and follow him.
