How do you keep your neighbors in that complex from complaining about the burnouts and noise? I use to work around the corner and picked up small engine parts there before I knew who you were. Pre 2013
I moved here in 2014 lol But it's not like i am out being a jack ass everyday while the neighbors are coming to and from work. After hours quick 5 minutes never hurt nobody!
I was just watching your video and noticed the exhaust clamps you are using on your exhaust systems to clamp the joints together. What brand are they and perhaps do you stock or sell them ? Thank you for your time.
When u mount the engine and trans directly to the tube frames with the mounting plate how bad is the nvh? Do you get a lot of heat transfer into the tube?
Something ive been wondering is why we don’t see manual trans on prerunners. Is it just not popular or do you risk blowing up more rearends with a manual?
I might be able to answer this one for you. In my mind its a 3 part issue 1. Stress risers from loading and unloading the driveline with direct drive can be merciless on parts if you stick a landing with a lot of torque being transmitted if you forget to clutch in 2. Racers want to focus on driving and its just ine more element to distract the driver 3. You need to pick parts to a point that are popular and readily available and have the r and d done.
I've always heard California has very strict emissions laws. Most of your builds are plated late models. Is there a special way you register them? Or do you just say screw it and hope you don't get caught?
Do you ever do any of the Ford twin I-Beam front suspension? I had a 2002 Ford Expedition that got totaled a couple years ago, and I've always had a dream to build it into an 8-passenger pre-runner. If I ever get another one, I'd LOVE to have you all build it with a John Kasse big-block Ford and the twin I-beam front suspension. I think it would be hilarious to retain as much of the stock look as possible - track width, wheels, etc. - and absolutely freak people out with how powerful and capable it is. Haha!
I’m pretty sure you can order parts, I think he means they aren’t going to build a truck for you unless it totals 100k. The fucking overhead running a place like that is huge and if it didn’t total that it doesn’t make the shop a profit. 🤷♂️
You can go to there website are order what ever parts they make you want. What he's saying is they don't do minor jobs, full builds only. I fully get why he does this because if a trucks been to multiple shops for a build, some maybe not so stellar work from another shop could reflect badly on his. One stop start to finish.
