hey bro just wanted to say i dipped my foot into blender for the first time tonight after being scared to try for years. i followed your tutorial and 6 hours later i had my first render. thanks man. you changed my life a lil bit.
been watching long af tutorials and some do too much, some are lazy (iykyk) but this is the most straight to the point i've found. been having trouble with the rendering result and none of these other videos mentioned that. THANK YOUUUU and suscribed.
@@fxntxnile ive just followed your steps and still my shape looks transparent in the rendered viewport, not getting the metallics tone 😞. it just reflects on the hdri. i thought the extra mapping nodes (that hadn’t been shown in other videos) was she solution but it isn’t. could you please help me 🥺
@@ginabustamante6109 That's strange, have you tried putting Metallic Up and Roughness down in the material? Also make sure you added the HDRI in the world environment! :)
Was looking for this exactly! Thank you!!! But I think it'll be easier to do the text in photoshop then send it to illustrator to image trace to get the vector and then save it as SVG, saves a lot of time.
OMG thank you so much! I was stuck at the tracing part cause I don't really know how to use Photoshop and It turns out I was just selecting the text lol, this took me 2 mins, thank you so much!
Righ! they create a flat colour background (i.e all black) But since in the video I'm using a gradient BG with the nurbs surface, it was pointless to explain those node in this particular video :)
Been playing around for ages and still can't get rid of the background image when rendering. Looks simple and sounds simple when you say 'didn't bother explaining' but seriously cant get the black bg working! argh
Thanks for the amazing tutorial!! Learned a lot. I think I filled out the blanks: Add "Mix Shader" and attach to it "Light Path" + the duplicated BG panel that's set to color black.
the pink one above its a Light Path, 2 backgrounds one conected to the shader and another in black to the second shader and then the mix shader to surface in world output
It was a skill I really wanted to learn, but thank you for making a good quality video. How can I save without a background? Even if Film>Transparent is checked, the background is black.
Thank you, this is my first time using blender, my first time doing anything like this and it’s helped me so much. I have one question though, how do I export just the type (in my case some blobs 😂), no background at all?
Hi ! thank u for your video, it's really helpfull. I have a question tough : How can I save the trace I made with the Pen tool, and create more ? I did the trace but I don't know how to save it so that I can combine de formes. Thank u again (sorry for my english I'm french)
in 3:34 how to remove the background from the render?? even with the light path and mix shader nodes connected to the world output, i cant make it black. tnks for tutorial if you can please reply!
when I set Metallic to maximum and Roughness to minimum, then my object is completely black, what should I do? when I change the world, the object is still black, only if the emission is changed, but then it will be, for example, just white and not what you need. And this happens according to the idea only on Eevee
I need help!! Anyone please : When I save it as svg and import it into blender I can‘t see it? It’s just in the collection… it just does not appear! I grouped the letters into one layer before saving it as svg, is that the problem?? What did I do wrong?
Hi, best thing to do is to keep the letters separated, and Don’t merge the layers, they need to be shapes, so there has to be a small square in the thumbnail in photoshop, if you merge the layers it will lose this property, so make sure you keep the layers as shapes and export the SVG without the background (only shapes of the letters) and it should work! :)
i watched intranet girl's tutorial and she used illustrator which was honestly confusing as hek bc i had never used it before.. i miss the days when it was easy to get a copy of PS tho..
@@cstpa1 it is! actually you could also export the design as PNG and use Convertio to convert it into SVG, that website works well too, you can convert any file there
Ciao, ho visto da photoshop che sei italiano, quindi ti scrivo direttamente in italiano. io ho un problema, non mi importa su blender il progetto salvato in svg come posso fare?
Great tutorial - just created my chrome type logo. Ran into one issue tho - Struggling with rendering my logotype with a transparent background. I've tried it all, yet the background is a solid gray when rendered as a PNG... In Object mode, rendered view - The background is transparent (checkers). The settings in the Render Properties > Film > Transparent is checked ☑. Doesn't help. The settings in Output Properties are set to File Extensions, PNG, RGBA, Overwrite. Doesn't help. I think it's the SUN added at 03:50 that makes the background stay when rendering. Please help! :''''')
.....Yep, the 'Nurbs Surface' was the issue. I deleted the 'Nurbs Surface' entirely from the Scene Collection and tried to render again - background gone. Problem solved! :)
Just figured out they've added a new Background Node, Light Path Node and Mix Shader Node. With the World Output going into the Mix Shader (Surface to Shader), Fac to Is Camera Ray (on Light Path), each shader going into each background, with the new background node changed to black.
In the minute 3,34 you just jump to objet to world, but the pads in world aren't the same, why your background come black? you add others pads but does't explain this.
