@@christianz8020the difference is that humans have the ability to cure a majority of diseases. Unfortunately that deer’s sickness is terminal and inevitable.
@Shagfabulous It's not the city that would try to ruin his life with thousands of dollars in fines, possible jail time, possibly seizing any firearms used, and maybe even his pickup. It's the state that does all that, at least in Texas that's how it works. I know a guy that was given 3 years in state prison, a $10,000 fine, had his rifle and pickup seized for killing a deer out of season to feed his family. The government has taken the place of lords and kings when it comes to wildlife in the US.
That's true they need to know about it so they can properly dispatch the animal and have a proper count of how many are affected by this horrible disease
They already know, it has spread all across the country and it spread fast. Don't call them over every deer found unless you live in an area that hasn't had any cases yet
This is not the wasting Disease these are worms that deer a rabbits sometimes get during warm weather that live just under the skin. But the worms die off when the weather gets cold and I've never seen a deer or rabbit die from the worms.
@CliffordHenley except the prions cannot be killed, even with heat. Way worse than a spore. It can lie dormant and kill years later. A horrible nightmare disease.
There's a correlation between dementia patients & gardening, esp rose gardening. Rose enthusiasts often use bone meal to fortify soil with calcium. The source of the bone meal is bouvine. Contaminated cows with "Mad cow disease" are broken down & used for bone meal. Prions don't die, they're present in the bone meal gardeners use, inhaling it as they spread it 🤯
My mother passed in September of 2021 from a prion disease, called CJD. It was the most painful, sorry ass disease I’ve ever seen anyone suffer through. She was the kindest, most selfless person I’ve known in my 48 years.
We had a neighbor who went through that illness. It went on forever with no hope for recovery. He had always been a happy smiling farmer, but not after he became ill. Sorry your mom suffered that tragedy.
I’m very sorry to hear that. Thankfully this disease hasn’t passed to humans as far as we know, but given vCJD they still take it very seriously and rightly so.
@@vivienneclarke2421 thank you. She was undiagnosed for almost a year. About a week before she passed, one of the doctors, who never gave up trying to give us an answer, made the diagnosis through bloodwork. I learned that there are so many neurological illnesses and detection/diagnosis is near impossible in many cases. Up to that week, we assumed we would have to lay her to rest without answers. I can’t even explain what it did to her over the months…I wish that disease not even on my enemies…

@@joshlower1Incorrect lots of animals come to humans for help. They tend to be the higher intelligent creatures but deer have been known to come to humans they trust when they need something. Doubtful this guy was in any state of mind to do that though.
It's animals like this when I call animal control who tell me they don't deal with wildlife so call the police. Then the police tell me they don't deal with wildlife so call the animal control. Finally I deal with it.
Yeah, I live in florida. I hit a gator I caked animal control they said nothing they could do. I call the cops, they come out and proceed to tell me ANIMAL CONTROL is on their way! Lmmfao 🤣 horrible
The issue is that we can't just go about shooting animals that look sick. We have to, at the very least, have a valid tag for that animal. Not to mention permission on the private land it's on. And while each state is different, most have rules about how far away from the centerline of the road a person must be to discharge a firearm. The warden could be called, but if the warden puts him down, it's very likely that the person reporting would not be able to harvest the meat, or the antlers, and even if they were allowed to do so, they may not want to feed their family with a CWD-infected animal, despite the science that shows it hasn't spread to humans, each person can and should make that decision for themselves.
@@hunt_trap_fishAll your yapping was proven nonsense when you mentioned eating a deer with CWD that was just put down by a warden. What kind of nasty person would eat a deer that had to be put out of its misery in this day?
@@ShiestyApe well, I didn’t say anything to that extent. I gave the reasons why a person cannot just pull off the road and shoot an animal. I tried to do so in a way that was educational and gave good reasons for why it would be a bad idea to pull over and shoot something, regardless of what kind of shape it’s in. I then pointed out - or tried to - that if a warden was called, they may take the whole animal. Meaning most of it goes to waste. Furthermore. There is no scientific evidence of CWD ever jumping from deer to people or transferring from deer to people. I certainly wouldn’t want to feed people something that looks raggedy and in bad shape
Is it possible he recently got his bell rung? I've had deer haul off the side of the road and slam into the side of my rig and run off. I always wonder if they end up looking like this..
There’s something going on in Grand Coulee, WA. A bunch of the deer are too skinny - ribs very visible. There’s plenty of food & we had a mild winter. I wonder who is in charge of deer health around here?!
ITS THE GOVERNMENT. HERE IN SW PENNSYLVANIA WHEN I NORMALLY SEE HUNDREDS OF DEER (see em daily),,, I HAVENT SEEN ANY SINCE JAN/FEB 2024 and it’s JUNE 1st. NOT ONE!!!!! Makes zero sense. In fact ALL bug and ANIMALS ARE DISSAPEARING. But I know with all my soul it’s the government. They wanna take out and control alllll ALL THINGS NATURAL AND SELF SUSTAINABLE. AND CREATE AND LAB MAKE ALL BUGS AND ANIMALS SO THEY HAVE ALL CONTROL OVER THEM AND US. ITS TRUE THATS WHATS HAPPENING. THEY CONTROL THE WEATHER AS WELL. AND “natural diasasters “ which are no longer natural. The list is endless but it IS ALL TRUE AND VERY TERRIFYING
This one doesn't look as bad as others I have seen. Its not as thin and seems like mind and behavior pretty normal. Its sad we see more deer on rd hit than in forests here during hunting season. We used to have a lot here and would expect more with all the building around us and we have land with forests and water sources. I dont know why people dont talk more about the wild life like hardly any birds any more. Im 41, my husband few years older and we remember tons of birds everywhere and on power lines and couldn't eat on beach for all birds but now go and there are none. I know the pole shift and magnetic field is partially to blame but know much more than that. I am military cbrn specialist and doctor in combat hospital with veterinarians in our group. I also have farm. But I think anyone over 35 remembers how different it was growing up and seeing wildlife and clouds and other things that now are so different.
A lot of the reduction of bird population is from changing agriculture practices and increased maintenance of the land around roads. A lot of the tall grasses are mowed down now, dead falls are cleared away, brush is eliminated, and this leaves fewer places for birds to hide. Not saying that's the entire problem, but is certainly a contributing factor where I'm from. We had a big hail storm here about a decade ago and populations have just seemed to never make it back yet.
One thing I've noticed more in the last 10 years then in my previous 33 is having rain clouds on a sunny day. It seems like we have them in Iowa 3 times a month, just the other day I woke up to a hailstorm by the time I got out of town ( 4 min drive) it was light rain by the time I got to work (14 mile drive) it was dry. It just seems so odd.
There is a person who is under demonic influence that is behind people suddenly becoming sick . Poisoning & has threatened & paid bottled Water distributors manufacturers to poison their water from FL to NY.......Fiji finally got caught by someone who got sick.....The poison is Manganese. It attacks the central nervous system.... We need a little but not the extreme levels found in the bottled water

Brave individual would still be moving ears to keep alert, paying attention with at least some curious nervousness by either ears flipping back constantly or more. This is a really good video showing the fearless stage of CWD. Although CWD and rabies are extremely similar, there are slight differences.
Man, they’re getting rid of all our food all the chickens, eggs, turkeys, deer cows Are getting rid of the honeybees don’t know what this world is coming to, but it ain’t gonna be pretty
If the deer could talk: “I feel really bad… Can you help me?”. Reading about Chronic Wasting Disease reminds me of a similar rare rare disease found in humans called CJD. Untreatable and a friend’s wife died quickly from it. Autopsy said the brain was like a sponge with large voids. Chronic Wasting describes similar spongy brain conditions. In human & deer both cause by Prions, a misfolded Protein in the brain. Though no large connection to eating animal meats, the article said avoid contact with the brain and spinal cord. Which tells me call DNR, Game Warden etc. Not worth the risk unless you are starving to death in the remote wilderness.
Sheep can get it too. It's called scrapie. There have been several incidences in Wyoming recently😮 where hunters have eaten deer who had CWD and died. The meat is not safe even if it's throughly cooked. These deer suffer immensely and die a horrible death
What you call CJD is KJD in humans. There were 3 cases in S. FL. The girls who had it were British. Their names were kept private. It was said they did not eat beef in the US.
@@JoyceHealy-z5lThat's exactly why we (USA) don't import beef. What you all are speaking about is what a layperson would know as Mad Cow Disease. You definitely do not eat any white matter or you will most likely be infected. I also would not eat any muscle tissue, as this is where many parasites like to burrow and hang out while they multiply and party like it's 1499.
Two hunters who ate meat from deer known to have chronic wasting disease − or “zombie deer disease” − developed similar neurological conditions and died, raising concerns that it can pass from animals to humans.Apr 24, 2024
I always wondered about that and they always said it couldn't spread. But cow and sheep prion disease do transfer so of course this could I would think
@@Tulip258 They didn't make it up but it is definitely misleading information. There were some articles reporting that claim which is where they got it from, so like I said they didn't make it up. But the deer were never even tested for CWD, there is no reason to believe that was the cause. CJD (the disorder they died of) is actually known to occur spontaneously. There was no actual link proven the only thing that claim came from is 'Oh, these two people died from CJD and (gasp!) they are hunters as well! Must mean CWD caused it!' and then the media ran with it as if them being hunters was proof in itself of a causal link. And then other people like this commenter take the articles at face value and assume the reporters did their due diligence so they try warning other people. Such is the spread of misinformation, which to be clear I don't blame this person for. I think the people who wrote the articles have a responsibility to truth and shouldn't write sensationalist stuff just for clicks. So you were right to be skeptical.
Another disease from a lab like covid! Was this I tentional too? Someone trying to destroy any food sources we may have so "they" can force us to eat bugs?
All B's.. no lie.. fear mongering... Texas billions dollars a yr deer hunting... Wildlife killing 1000s of healthy deers . Put conservatives outta business... Isn't that the Dems way??
Its been happening for as long as they have existed. You just now seeing it because everyone has a recording device in their pockets. This is nothing new. There isnt a mass explosion of this disease. Just a mass explosion of people seeing it, recording it and posting to video platforms. Simple as that
I agree. Stuff like this. Disease fish are getting now, invasive species that you can’t eat. I wholeheartedly believe it’s a way to keep you from providing for yourself. Then you will have to rely on the government. No thanks
Is this Somerset County PA or Maryland? I’m originally from Somerset County PA too, Meyersdale. I worked in Berlin for a few years at Snyders then at the nursing home then on the ambulance there before I moved south myself to Tennessee. I always liked Berlin. The sound of the church bells as you’re driving EXACTLY 25 mph (got my first and only ticket there) is unlike anything else I’ve ever heard in all my travels.
Overpopulation of deer makes it worse. Really it's the overpopulation of humans and the fact hunting is less popular than ever. Hunting is a form of conservation regardless of anyone's opinions and feelings. Animals starve to death and spread these diseases when they are in abundance with no natural predators.
Hunting helps control animal populations and certainly keeps them at healthy numbers. Overpopulation will lead to sick and weak animals. There is no human overpopulation. We have no problem feeding the world. Wildlife can be kept at healthy numbers with hunting and that provides the states with money to manage parks and wildlife. Most of the hunters I know are very supportive of conservation and they also keep an eye on local willdlife issues.
Driving in Jackson, MI 2 days ago, I hit a small squirrel, ran over a possum on the freeway and saw a decapitated deer that had just got struck by a car off the side of the road on I-94. Also saw a large raccoon dead on the side of the road. I tried to stop/ swerve, etc to miss my 2 animals but to no avail. I felt really bad. I also called 911 after I passed that car/ deer on the side of the road to make sure it was reported as the driver could have been hurt badly as I knew it was a fresh accident.
Prion diseases are terrifying. Like, true grimdark future, "time for an Exterminatus" stuff. It's untreatable, uncurable, nearly impossible to develop immunity to, transmissible in pretty much every way, can survive most sterilization processess, and can remain infectious in the environment for decades. If there was one kind of disease most likely to cause a a mass-extinction it's prion diseases.
CWD was never a issue until the last 15 to 20 years, it started in captive deer and slowly spread, but the last 15 year's it's really spread faster than ever across every state.
They’re putting stuff in our food and getting a monopoly in the food industry to control what we eat and they’re created something to reduce the game so people couldn’t be self sufficient
That same demonic power has his soldiers and most are political. They seem to forget destroying the population in their own countries will end up destroying them too. It's like domino's stacked it might start from the front but eventually even the powerful will fall
On a property I used to hunt with a friend in Ohio we had a deer cam up and saw a zombie deer the whole bottom of its stomach was gone and it's guts was hanging out and still walking in circles we shot it it took 10 minutes for it to completely quit moving
You did the right thing end his suffering, hate to see deer like this also and I'm a hunter, the respect for the forest and wild life for food is a must

In a way but more bc of the high concentration of deer in a small area LIKE a corn field. We won't know the truth until we are above this earth. So sad what "technology" has destroyed.
I'm pretty sure CWD wasn't known until after GMOs were given the green light, without scientific studies,by Bush 1. Not the worst president, but in the top 5,of the worst.
He definitely was asking please put me to rest with some pride !! 😢😢 Soo sad 😢 thank you for your beautiful life; Mr. Buck I pray you are now resting peacefully another world🫶🏽🙏🏽
DNR is all over the comments I'm thinking Do Not Recesitate?! 😅 Tennessee doesnt have "DNR". We have : (TWRA) Tennessee Wildlife Recource Agency & (TDEC) Tennessee Department of Enviroment Conservation.
If not CWD, you wonder if he was hit and is dazed. We've found them within 50 yards of the road, back in the woods, died from vehicle strikes but make it out of sight.
I swear this is something the government created. We never had Lyme disease in our area, now my whole family and our dogs have had it, west Nile virus everywhere, can't eat but an oz a month of the fish in our rivers, let's pray nothing ever happens where we have to depend on our wildlife to sustain us
It's a bad protein in the brain, not ticks. They get it from eating at a containment spot for another animal with CWD. Stuff lays in the ground for years. And can resist temps up to 1250 degrees before breaking down.

I used to see deer everywhere in my town. They would come in my yard to eat my plants everyday. It was like playing frogger with deer driving in the mornings and evenings. I've seen more dead deer than live ones this year.
I saw a herd of deer on our land in a camera. Several had huge bumps and tumors. I sent the pic to Florida Fish and Wild life. Never heard any thing from them.
So sad. These deer suffer immensely and die horrible deaths. Several people in Wyoming died recently from eating venison that was infected with CWD even though the meat was thoroughly cooked. Not only do deer get this, but cattle and sheep get a variation of the same disease.
Chronic wasting disease isn’t caused by parasites or worms. It’s pretty much a chain reaction of misfolding proteins. it’s transmissible through eating raw contaminated meat, but sometimes cooking it doesn’t do the job.
Chronic waste disease can be given to people. Threw the saliva of the deer or maybe other liquids in the deer . NEVER have a deer as a pet. My daughter's friend had pet deer's. She loved to pet them she got this disease . She was a beautiful young girl. It was a slow process. And you can not cure it if a person gets this ! It was heart breaking to watch her waste away 😢
Do you haul seafood? Looks like some rust around the rear bumper? Are you sure it was CWD? I’ve seen a lot of videos of Moose with CWD and all they do is walk around in circles and in the same spot all day long. That’s got to be a miserable way to live. I wonder if they feel it and it makes them dizzy! Thanks for posting!
I’m an avid deer hunter and this makes my heart ache to see such a beautiful and majestic creature suffering from a disease that more than likely could be cured.
Its spreading to more than just deer 🦌 all our forest & pets include are passing CWDfrom the urine and poop ,water ways are affected too its only a matter of time before all Gods creatures get infected ,please have you animals tested before you consume them ,,and have your pets / livestock tested too please..best of luck on your hunting season to all my fellow hunters ❤
Ungulates are the only susceptible wildlife. The rest could be an outbreak of rabies. There's 2 forms of rabies. One is neurological, the other isn't. Both are carried in the saliva, and can only be confirmed with the animal in isolation or it's head + neck to a laboratory
Little do you know the deer is contaminating everything it’s got it’s bodily fluids on, even before onset of illness. The incubation period in cervid deer is 2 years or more the disease cannot die in the environment and it will spread if you come close to an unknown contamination, incubation period in humans could be much longer.

Appears to be a pretty healthy buck searching that field for some new wives but didn't see any. He turns to cross back to the other side of the road and looks up at you because you got your truck in the way of his path.
He looked like he didn't know what was going on he could be hallucinating or anything it's hard to say but he does look sickly and I'd just let him be an let nature take its course
That’s what that is!!!! I saw a deer a few weeks ago just like this one. It was disoriented and even walked straight in my truck and wouldn’t move when I honked the horn.
I was 7 months pregnant living in a subdivision when a possessed raccoon cornered me on my deck one day (YES BROAD DAYLIGHT). It hissed & growled at me when I tried to go past it to the back door or steps. I called PD, they said call animal control but they only pick up dogs/cats. I was sitting on deck railing trying not to fall or get rabies. I asked cops if I can shoot the damn thing but they said NO NOT IN CITY LIMITS🤦♀️ my husband went WWE with a metal chair til he sent it to Jesus. Had it tested. No rabies. No idea what the hell was wrong with that thing other than it was sent by Satan to destroy me!! I’m a country girl and never in my life had I seen a raccoon act like that. I legit adopted a coonhound that Christmas. Named him River. No raccoons since 😉But he did flush out a possum. I saved it. Named him Eddie. Fed Eddie and let him go bc my hubs wouldn’t let me keep him. They eat ticks and don’t carry rabies. Possums are welcome in my posse anytime. It was fun telling this story during my C Section to a room full of city slicker nurses and doctors. 🤣
They attack the deer's brain, making them lose coordination, ability to eat or even drink, and they slowly starve to death walking around like a zombie.
Look at the facial expressions of the deer and how he walks up and puts his foot down. It’s as if he spent his whole life dodging hunters successfully, and now he’s come up to some (almost like he recognizes them) expecting to get killed/shot. And because they’re not doing it he’s acting like “come on man let’s this out the way, what’s gong. On ur NOT gonna shoot??”
