Thank you for the deck profile! My LGS had one of the Premium sets in stock so I bought one, and immediately thought of this video for ideas to upgrade it. Don't have Swirler or Gungnram (started with Set 5 so I missed out on both), but I did buy a Drajeweled Trial deck and a case of Set 8 so I guess I'm going with 2 Lings + 4 G1 Mikani combo until I get my hands on the Swirler reprint out of Set 9. I hadn't considered the difference between 4k effect crit vs 5k vanilla crit, so thanks for pointing that out because I was about to play the 4k effect crit because that's what you normally do with most decks.

I am depressed to see Bushiroad hits Derick Dao's custom Chronojet which I trained so long and finally find success playing. What cards you will replace Swirler-Gigi in your video deck recipe, Derick?
When we Stride, do we choose the card (Faterider or Nextage) we need from G-units deck? Or we draw the top card from G-unit deck? When we use Faterider's skill, do we choose the card (Faterider or Nextage) to put face up on G-zone from the G-units deck? Or we can only draw the top card from G-unit deck?
If I only have access to the stride deckset and 4 vanilla crits, do the combos in the video still apply? I’m mostly curious about how Magnetic Resonance (the doggo) will be used to maximise its value (the 5k)
I played and lost all my games except for one with Chronojet. I am stumped when my Swirler, Upstream Dragon, goes into the soul when I SC or damage checked. What is the right timing to do SC correctly so I have better chance to draw Upstream and Swirler when I need it?
I came across a JP locals team winner in Dec 2022. One team member played Prison and constantly beat Chronojet player in that tournament. How will you play Chronojet against Prison in Standard? Which units you are ok to be imprisoned and you willing to spend to free it constantly?
Love that You keep this extra shield guy. I kinda Like him too. Sad that all the grade 1 Soul Chargers Are so crazy pricey. Maybe You Can use steam artist pithana or term fracture dragon To get More Soul on a budgded
@@FaytTheXpert try Crimson Igspeller or Amazement Magician. When they attack you can Soul charge 1. Crimson can even boost your anti-Sentinel Chronojet turns if put into your Soul as well, in case you've guarded till handless and can't stride
i only have 2 swirlers but a bunch of gunguns, i assume i am good to just swap the ratios for now until the swirler reprint? awesome video btw, exactly what I needed:)
when should you be going into nextage? should it be a just keep going into it from 2nd stride onward or should you make your crest stronger by going into fate riders for your 2nd or 3rd stride?
A very helpful video but is there a deck list online for it, since am not overly familiar with all of these recent cards (I haven't played seriously since the first Chronojet Dragon deck came out).
@@TheDerickDao i think he means as well as swirlers and gungnram. Im seeing lots of tops in japan playing 1-2 of the g2 that soulcharges on attack. Im personally playing crimson igspeller instead of that g2 because it also has a soul effect
@@StarForgedTCG Any of those options work - depends on the additional effect(s) that you want your deck to have in the 1/20 games you get into a niche situation.
Hey I want to ask regarding Order PG, seeing that lots of top deck, Eva, Youthberk etc. Do order PG still essential in D format ? Or better use effect PG
Effect pg and order pg You’ll most likely rarely find urself where you feel like Oh damn, wish I had eff pg instead of order pg because my hand is only 1 left If you know you went up against an archetype or deck that doesn’t need you to keep your elementaria Then always prioritise using your elementaria over your eff pg in that case But if you’re up against chronojet or g4 deck Then Elementaria will proves to be very useful
I am puzzled. Can we use the same outer sleeves as ride deck for Stride units and Crest? I would not to be penalised for wrongly sharing same type of sleeves for cards at official tournaments.
@Olaoluwa Aremu what about the crest? Also, are we able to use toploaders for our ride deck? The premium set came with some for our ride deck and even our crest card.
Derick, I have urgent question on Steam Breath Dragon's skill. Am I allowed to perform ACT(Hand) skill to discard a card as cost for both my Ride up to higher grade and as cost to search up a Chronojet card to add to my hand in the same Ride phase?
Definitely can be an option. The on-hit from Eden most likely won't go off if the other Jet player farms a solid hand. Still a good choice to experiment with since Eden is on-hit anything rather than on-hit Vanguard to get his effect off.
The player who goes second gets to Stride in the same turn after he rides into Chronojet Dragon, correct? The player who goes first will need to wait for next turn, after his opponent ride into G3, to perform Stride.
I am aware Chronojet deck has nothing to recover cards from Drop zone. When we ride up from G0 to G1, G1 to G2, G2 to G3, which cards to we send to drop zone? I know Argandia is a great card in GC in place of triggers, yet I hope not to send all three triggers from riding G0 to G3.
When you win a die roll, you automatically go first. That's how my locals does it and I think it's part of the rules itself now. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Depends on what you want. If you want the option to sometimes get a 2nd soul, then Mikani is better. If you want to compress your deck better, Ling is better. If you cannot decide, 3-3 is fine.
