Head unit bought at www.elementotuning.com They also have for Dodge vehicles, same installation. Please subscribe for more Chrysler 300 content! Thank you!
I'm assuming the 1G or 2G means first generation and second generation. 1st gen = 05-10' and second 2nd gen = 11-21' This unit will fit into your 07' 300 Touring with ease.
@@morgandemars5031 hey guys, this unit is only for first gens, the first number is RAM and the second is ROM. Basically, the more there is, the faster the unit is/more space for processes/etc. Just like a computer!
Hello @bronco fan, thank you for your tips, I was able to install and get the steering wheel buttons to work! Now my problem is the microphone and CarPlay doesn’t ring when I’m making a phone call nor show me messages notifications! Can you help me please?
I've done some custom audio installs in my 300C and this one looks really good. One thing you might want to change is the location of the NAV/GPS antenna as it does just fine under the upper part of the dash so it's not visible in the glove box - hope this helps!
Good afternoon from across the water, very straight forward informative video thank you for this. One question i have i hope you can help with, if i didnt want to install the camera would the unit work just fine ?
Hey man i have a 2005 chrysler 300 touring as well and i bought a head unit, not the sane exact one but pretty similar and the audio would not work and my air bag light kept popping up on my dash and wouldnt stop ringing, i plugged everything in but couldnt figure it out, do you know why it possibly couldve done this? Would it have to do something with an onboard amplifier or not having one sinces theres millions of diffeent sound systems they put in the chryslers
Nice video! I also got installed this to my 2005 300C touring :). But i have little issue, camera works only when i press brakepedal? Connections should be okay.
I just wired the red wire from the red and black wires to the fuse box and it works good... I didn't even need to connect the black wire to anything... 🤷
@@303ant420 Often times things will function just fine without the ground wire (black) but you run the risk of blowing it out. the black wire simply needs to be tucked under a screw that touches the chassis in some way.
Hey bud I really enjoyed your videos, my question is does it effect the sound compared to the old unit. The old unit had like a built in amp which provided enough power. Does the new android unit pump enough power to the speakers?
Have you had parasitic draw? I do when I turn on my Bluetooth. One time my car completely turned off when I turned Bluetooth on. Did you have problems?
I've got similar in my facelift 300c. Had to manufacture brackets. Appears to be better than my mygig unit. The only thing I'm wanting to do is use my rear camera whilst driving And listen to music at the same time.. There's also an update somewhere to change the speedo display to mph instead of kph. Door opening signal is not uk set. Not a problem as eyes work well. I ran my back up camera cable down the center consol. Lot easier than popping off plastics
We have the option to have the music keep playing on reverse if we want in the settings, I would check there. I've been told of the update as well, but I am too lazy haha.
@@Gehtarman I found that it may be used to power a proximity sensor. I didn’t like the idea of having an unused wire without knowing what it’s for. I wish they had at least some instructions. Thank you for your response.
Hey buddy ! Question do you think I can swap my original steering wheel for the touch button one and still have all the functions? I’m really thinking about swapping out the whole dash😂
I've thought about this too but I'm not sure. There has to be an electric harness in the steering wheel but I'm not sure how it's connected, you might have to check the forums
Just to be sure, if we dont install the camera, the rest is plug and play once we transfer all the hardware to the new bezel? Thanks for the videos they really help out.
Another issue I have is when I go into auto equalizer settings and press the blue crown icon it won't let me fade the audio to the rear speakers. If I try to set it all the way to the rear, it just stays normal. If I try to set it all the way to the front speakers it just goes silent. Any advice for this?
I know I'm late and I have been searching everywhere and can not get an answer for my one question. Can this unit support aux via the back I assume?? I really want to purchase this unit and have the item in my cart and ready to spend 250. Buuuuuut I need to know if I can put an aux port or does it come with one. Thank you.
This does not fit for the 2008 Models and up because the android bezel tabs at the bottom are horizontal when they should be Vertical! So for those who have a 2008+ model it will not fit! You will need to get the 2008+ bezel with vertical tabs at the bottom....
I've got Boston premium and my android 10 unit works fine. Best finding one with DSP as I don't think fader works. Possibly radio might not work. Will need fakra adapter. If so get amplified one .
I have issues when I use easy connection to mirror my phone. If I open RU-vid, the audio is always lagging on the head unit screen. Also, if I try using my HBOMAX app I only get audio, no video when I try to play a movie. Any suggestions for these issues? Thanks.
Sorry I didn't see comment. I think you have to order a dongle from them for carplay/android auto but my friend also ordered from them and order came fine like mine
@@303ant420 hello good afternoon, I’m about to buy this unit and I just want to make sure if I need to buy anything to keep the steering controls or not?! Please lmk
@@filipeboas1704 but to be honest, I've taken the radio out and bought a 150 dollar android auto radio with the controls for steering wheel. Cheaper and way better to have in my opinion...
Not sure if you still have the car, but how is this unit holding up? I’m always skeptical of things that cost 1/4 or 1/10 what the more mainstream solutions are (I.e. double din Sony/Pioneer/Keneood stereo receivers) and wonder what the “catch” is. A lot of people are using these Android head units so maybe this is becoming near mainstream now; just not pro audio sales/installer level
Thank you for the quick reply!!! That’s great to hear; surprising but encouraging. I messaged the company you put in the link, was just curious where they were physically located. Do you know if they’re in the US? It looks like it’ll take 4-6 weeks to build a unit, but was worried it could be another 4 weeks for shipping.
I have chrysler 300c , hemi 2008 , and the same radio , i make all install but dont have sound in the speaker The music ,nothing cant sound in the speaker
