Hello colleague! Fantastic fishing spots right in the city! I myself love to catch chub, although these are wilder rivers ... Thank you for the video! Subscribed to your channel...
Yes I know, some of these chub where getting their backs out like salmon in the really skinny water... ive not seen that before. I'm very lucky to have this water near to me! Thanks for watching
Great video, one of my favourite types of lure fishing. I’m going to give Wet Wading a go this summer, try to get to those Chub looking areas without beating my way through the overgrown bank side jungle.
Nice video enjoyed it a lot! Came here from your advert of your channel trailer, i was wondering what the process was for getting your tv show on discovery? Have been thinking about getting one produced myself.
I had been writing articles on backpack fishing and came up with a concept for a travel fishing show. I had a friend who had a small production company, so we developed the idea together. I saved up some money and i paid for us to go to Costa Rica and film a pilot for a week tarpon fishing.... which was a success. I was able to sell this to the World fishing Network in the USA, and off the back of that i was able to secure funding for a show...... its not easy and i made no money from it, but it was an amazing experience!!
the occasional angler I thought it might have been expensive, my idea is on a much lower scale. I’m hoping to be able to produce a small documentary fishing the high mountain tarns of the Lake District so no real travel cost. Hopefully it’s good enough to be picked up by someone! If you wanted to have a look at one of my videos I’d love it if you could check out the one where I fish blind tarn, would be great to know what you think!
Great video! Nice chub you have caught! In the Netherlands we call them Kopvoorn, where i live there are no chubs only ASP(roofblei) or winde! Handy landing net you have!
I’m in the process of swapping the trebles on my ultralight crankbaits for singles. Have you found any difference in how they work? I’ve added small shot to the hook hanger on the belly hanger of some to replicate the weight of the removed treble.
@@AndyK-qh4gs often if I replace the treble with a single, i will use a larger single which tends to weigh the same as the treble. I have heard of people using shot on unused hangers ... i have never done this so I can't comment. Thanks guy
To be honest I don’t see a great deal of difference in the action, in fact one of my little 4g jointed minnows gets hit more times now, even though it seems to run less pleasingly to the eye!
@@AndyK-qh4gs for me singles tend to get a more secure hook hold .... and basically arent such a pain to remove from fish ...or anything else they get into. They are much less likely to hook up on trees and bushes which is a big bonus with chub lure fishing!!
LOL, reinforcing the fact that lure 'fishermen' are such tools, more bothered about looking cool than carrying an unhooking mat or landing net, at least you had the latter!
@@theoccasionalangler6956 I did say at least you had the latter, ie unhooking mat. nothing wrong with my attitude to fishing at all, by the way, but I give up trying to point out to the kind of lure swingers I encounter on local canals who take no gear whatsoever to safely and carefully net on unhook anything the dumbasses catch, and give loads of abuse if you point out that laying a beautiful perch or pike on a gravel path is not the the way to go on.
@@wonkylommiter6364 you sound like a bit of a wolly, unfortunately you have tried imply I wasn't using a net or a matt and then realised that I was using both. I imagine we get alot of grief off other angler because of your bad attitude
