In this clip, Chuck D clarified that Flavor Flav wasn't kicked out of Public Enemy over the Bernie Sanders situation. Chuck D said it was a ploy to get Flav to work because it's been a while since he's put in actual work. Chuck also spoke about being synonymous with the Public Enemy brand and how the group has evolved into more of a collective over the course of 33 years.

You ever noticed, flav and chuck super tight. He never gave up on flav no matter what! I knew flav wasn't kicked out of group. When people used to talk bad about flav, chuck said flav mad smart, he plays many instrument. It's like he know flav deeper than everybody else. Even Grif said, "this man on drugs etc", but grif knew flav was never going anywhere because chuck always had his back.
