@@smokedowa2632 I don’t think you know what arrogant means. Its exaggerated opinion of your importance but Chuck D did more for the people than any artist so no he is actually humble
@@steventopper9310 - Respond for what? Tha Realest got his shine off of sounding like Tupac and once moved up out of the underground scene, got his come up from Death Row, and became Suge's diss lap dog. Some jokers are not worth wasting one's time and energy responding to. The Realest was one of them.
Eminem is the biggest selling rapper of all time and outsold every rapper in the 2000's and 2010's, two decades in a row hell he might even out do everybody with 2 or 3 more albums in the 2020's. In our lifetime you wont see that again.. Eminem is top 3 goats ever whether you like it or not
@ themadrapper101, No fuckin way he’s top 3. Eminem is a guest just like Jamar said. And FYI Em has publicly admitted the reason he’s sold some many records is because he’s white. White people show unbelievable support when a white person appropriates black culture.
@@attainingknowledgeoftruth8348Em also recently said why other white acts in Hip-Hop don't sell like him? It not only because he's white that he sold well because if that was the case, more white rappers would also sell just as or close enough to Em. White rap acts don't even last long in Hip-Hop. I do believe him being white helped partly but not as much that you think. Incoming all the excuses in the book...
@olskool71 First of all, unlike most people, I believe there are MULTIPLE of GOATS of Hip-Hop so I believe everybody that you listed is GOATS and so is Eminem. And stop saying who are fans of Em that don't know the history because we can say that about many people regardless of what race or fanbase. Shit people don't even know about the Father of Hip-Hop himself Dj Kool Herc which is SAD.
@olskool71 And those people you listed would also tell you that Em is one of the GOAT, he even in Rakim's top 5. Em is some of y'all favorite rapper's favorite rapper. Lol
I think somebody told him how many people in total came out to see the tour over the course of 9 shows and he mistakenly thought it was how much people came out for one show cuz I looked it up and they said it was about 80,000 people that went to that Milan show in 2018 which is still incredible but not no damn 900k lol
@@Floyd_Steel it was 90,000 Wembley stadium sold out 45mins first rapper ever then 2nd one sold out in hour. Thats UK and broke records in Aus Abu Dhabi and NZ last year milan was 100,000
God Chuck D knows how to handle press. He's studied Vlad and realized he likes inviting guests to just make the whole interview about himself, so what do you do...out-talk him. And most of the stuff he was saying Vlad knew nothing of. Thats why Chuck even started asking him questions and for the first time Mr. Glad said he didn't know! Priceless!!!
It's healthy Vlad shuts up & stops the oh I know him too we went out for lunch he's a crip friend of mine. Chuck thinks that's bozo talk and Vlad can feel it on the low so he doesn't say anything. Glad knows that he's the monks a trendsetter if there was no Public Enemy there would be no rebellious rap. They're the first ones to rebel against the machine/system.
The 1st time I seen that screen technology was at the Million Man March. My brother & I were at a weird angle on the front lawn of the White House & I could tell we wouldn’t be able to see Min. Farrakhan or the other speakers, so we moved back to the very 1st screen.
Chuck D is one of the best emcees of all time!! I mean I was only 8 or 9 when Public Enemy came out, but every time I listen to their music it was like a class being taught.
This was the approach/method Chuck meant when recording ITANOMTHUB album. The tempo/energy of the songs have to match the energy of their live performances. Hence, the songs that album were faster than their debut.
This is the reason why youngsters born in the late 90's to early 2,000's should try their best to surround themselves with guys like Chuck D...stack up on older mentors. So they can take all the wonderful knowledge gems and help expand on classic ideas. Take nuggets from the old school and add your own spice to it. Like Sidney Poitier to Denzel Washington / Julius Erving to Michael Jordan to Kobe Bryant / James Brown to Michael Jackson / Michael Mann to Christopher Nolan and so on.
I don’t think this wired small venues will be THE thing. Being a million people sharing the same experience in the same thing can’t be duplicated. People filling up stadiums since Ancient Rome.
As a white teenager in the 80s, it was P.E., Ice Cube and Ice T that enlightened me to certain societal ills and history that I couldn't hear about from anywhere else
WTF did Ice T and Ice Cube tell you that had any value? They are both fake as hell. Public Enemy told you what was going on and what the people needed to do. The thing that really showed me Ice Cube was a fake and paid to promote negativity is this. Ice Cube made a few negative comments against Jewish people on his records and in interviews. He also said them in an angry "hateful" way. Where as Professor Griff from Public Enemy had an interview where he discussed Jewish people and said some negative things but it was in a calm "political" way. It was two people having a debate basically and Professor Griff didnt agree with cirtain things some Jewish people did. Outcome for Ice Cube: No problems, carry on, no fines no nothing. Outcome for Professor Griff: HEADLINES OF EVERY NEWS PAPER SAYING HE WAS ANTI SEMETIC, KICKED OUT OF PUBLIC ENEMY...a lot ot bad stuff happend to him. He had to go underground for years. The reason being was that Public Enemy had a positive message that the government was afraid of. Ice Cube had a message the government was all for, promotion of Black Genocide.
Being a Chuck D interview should be enough to get views... Wht do you need "Eminem" in the title? It's some shady shit (nopun) using that as click bait
Seems like good old VLaD has been more boisterous lately. He surpassed 4 million subs. His videos start getting sensored. No more "foul language" which damn near made me wanna unsubscribe. But whatever...yet I am seeing a pattern of VLad getting loud and assertive/obnoxious, when he wants to finish pushing his point or narrative.
Eminem is the richest rapper/CEO in HIP HOP fuck what anybody say i bet eminem alone sold more records than all of Bad Boy records put together world wide
I got 1 fan at my show and it was my dog. I can rhyme yo , slow , Moe, flow , doe and slow. Dont know what I jus said , I put miracle whip on my wonder bread ..... Ughhhh word to ya motha

Gawd I wish Vlad would STFU and let the other person answer the damn question!!! How do you ask and answer the question that you asked? How Sway? That's super disrespectful!!!
Vlad.. I love your podcast, but you interrupt entirely too much. When interview the great Chuck D, you just let him speak uninterrupted. Keep up the good work Vlad.

Rap has the answer... Most venues have about 17 people in a 2000 seat venues.. Rap.....were your never touched.
I think maybe all the vlad hate comes from people that just hate that he is welcomed and respected by important players in the culture. They jealous that in the real world, their heroes would rather have dinner and hang with vlad than them. They don’t understand that he’s more part of hip hop than the average blacks person who doesn’t even know how to play an instrument, make music, yet wants to call out who can be in hip hop and who can’t.
Institutional Racism-unequal impacts and outcomes based on race, produced by key societal institutions such as the health care and housing systems, and education and employment systems. These institutions are racist when the impact of their policies, practices and power is to advantage and disadvantage whole groups of people along racial lines. When an individual acts within the context of an institution, and help to perpetuate these racial inequities, these actions are no longer just interpersonal actions, but rather institutional actions. (Thus, when a police officer treats a member of the public with racial bias--such as giving white people the benefit of the doubt while presuming people of color are guilty-- this action is institutional racism since the police officer is acting as a representative of a law enforcement institution.) Unequal impacts based on race are the measure of institutional racism, regardless of whether or not the disproportionate and discriminatory effects are intentional. Institutional racism is not just carried out by white people but also by people of color acting in institutional capacities, "just doing their jobs" and implementing decisions that have a negative effect on people of color. •Structural Racism in the U.S. is the normalization and legitimization of an array of dynamics--historical, cultural, institutional and interpersonal--that routinely advantage whites while producing cumulative and chronic adverse outcomes for people of color. Structural racism encompasses the entire system of white domination, diffused and infused in all aspects of society, including its history, culture, politics, economics and entire social fabric. Structural racism is more difficult to locate in a particular institution because it involves the reinforcing effects of multiple institutions and cultural norms, past and present, continually reproducing old, and producing new forms of racism. Structural racism is the most profound and pervasive form of racism-all other forms of racism emerge from structural racism.
