Y’all legit had me CRYIN’ on this one from laughter, especially with Chuck E disappearing off the stage with that girl and the whole “Goodfellas” meeting with Charlie Rocket. 😂

Maybe the villains could have been the Department of Health or something

The funniest part of all this is that from what I know, Chuck E. Cheese was originally supposed to be a ruffian of a New York rat - he sorta still is, but they toned it WAY down in later iterations. So the whole 'doing coke in the back', 'nailing coworkers', 'mafia hits', the jokes are made even better when you realize it actually kinda flows with the original concept rofl.

The one thing I remember from my one visit in 1999 to Chuck E. Cheese at 9 yrs old (aside from wanting to go home) is seeing this movie playing on a loop on all the TVs in the place.

When I was a child I was terrified of monsters because I was at a birthday party at ShowBiz pizza. At this party I was the only child in the virus incubating chamber known as the ball pit. As I was playing, a gorilla hand reached up. I immediately fled in terror! Later in life I realized it was the hand of the gorilla who played the keyboard for the Rocka Fire Explosion. Most likely teenage employees scaring a kid. For years I believed in monsters because of that. So, yes I thought a monster tried to play with me in the balls!

I just want to know who wrote and directed this because clearly they knew what they were doing as far as inside jokes and such. As was such for many kids shows/movies back then since the parents would watch it with their kids.

This was one of the best roast y'all have done in a while 😎. Just seeing images of Chuck E. Cheese from back in the day is bringing back memories, right down to seeing those small black JVC tvs 😎. I was never scared of the animatronics but was instead always excited to see them move. The VHS quality of this film reminds me of the Ronald McDonald Land cartoons and show vhs I once had or watched. I've never seen or heard of this goofy film, but I can imagine if I had been introduced to this as a kid, the nostalgic feels would be hitting me harder watching this review. Even the bad green screen (which hurts my eyes sometimes to look at) has a bit of a charm to it. I agree with Billy that this film feels like it's more early 90s than late 90s. Either way I miss that era 😄 😄. Edit: this is a small thing but the German in the red at 36:38, wearing those black pants almost makes him look like a horse or a centaur or something 😆 😆. I kind of thought DT would joke about that but it's probably just me 🤣 🤣.
