i'm back! this time with a store tour of my nearest and most dearest store--Buffalo (or Hamburg) NY. this store opened as a Chuck E. Cheese's in May of 2000, previously being a Discovery Zone. it opened with a 32-movement Studio C Alpha stage, which (to my memory) featured a Studio C Dining sign. there was only one gameroom from it's opening up until around 2010-2011 when the upper level expansion gave it a second. Buffalo is one of the biggest stores in the district (maybe even the region, haha) with it's whopping 2 gamerooms and massive prize wall. it was also one of the few locations to receive a fun house in replacement of the skytubes, although it was removed in 2020.
i did this tour a little bit backwards, i realize, haha. it was a lot emptier in our "new" gameroom area, so i started there and worked my way down. i also filmed this during operating hours, so my apologies if some shots are odd. i was trying to avoid getting any families in view.
this store means a lot to me, as it was not only my childhood location but also the store ive been working at for the past 5 years. it is quite literally my home away from home and i'm so grateful i got to experience it as i remembered it as a child while it still remained that way.
keep an eye out for stage videos, as well as progress videos of the 2.0 remodel!
