If you're reading this? Mr.Cavett? I was a fan of Chuck McCann's tv shows..since the fall of 1960..when I first watched him and The Paul Ashley Puppets host:"Laurel & Hardy & Chuck" and "Let's Have Fun!"on WPIX TV Ch.11 in NYC..back in the 1960's.

I would love to see that cake commercial! His Right Guard commercial is still being remade by the My Pillow guy in 2023!

To the Dick Cavett Show Administrators: would you please post Chuck McCann’s Cavett appearance where he impersonated Bob Cummings - a truly funny piece of business. Thanks.

Mr McCann showed his artistry as an actor in the film THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER. Pity he wasn't truly recognized for the pathos he imbued into that role.

Grew up in Manhattan. He was on a local TV station WPIX channel 11. He played various characters. This was in the 60's.

Chuck McCann did the voice of a White House staff member in Vaughn Meader's "The First Family" album in 1962.

As a young child, I religiously watched; &, adored his show; his characters; his sense of humor: &, many of his small performances; &, as stand-out comic; too; as well as, in film; and, on tv; over the years, were cherished by me. I meant him in person, a number of times; many years ago; and, he was by nature, as I found him to be: the nicest guy, sort of guy; and, a brilliant one, too. He could do: extreme sadness; extreme happiness; &, many things inbetween; and, could be also be extremely funny!

I do have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rare much like all the other Dick Cavett interviews

I do not know if Mr. Cavett’s interview with Mae West was part of the show or a special - the set suggests the latter - but thought I would post a request here. The only videos that I’ve seen on RU-vid are of poor quality compared to the videos uploaded on this channel and would love to see the full interview. Many thanks for your consideration.
