Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born March 10, 1940) is an American martial artist and actor. He is a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Karate, Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo. After serving in the United States Air Force, Norris won many martial arts championships
Norris has founded two major martial arts systems: American Tang Soo Do and Chuck Norris System (formerly known as Chun Kuk Do).
American Tang Soo Do was formed in 1966 by Norris, which is combination of Moo Duk Kwan-style Tang Soo Do, Judo and Karate (Shito-Ryu and Shotokan). Over the years it has been further developed by former black belts of his and their students
The Chuck Norris System (CNS) is a Korean-based American hard style of karate. The style was founded by Mr. Chuck Norris, and was originally based on Mr. Norris' Tang Soo Do training in Korea while he was in the military. During his unprecedented competitive fighting career (undefeated world middleweight karate champion six years running)

I grew up on Chuck Norris, he shaped my martial arts journey for sure. Although some of his movies were too graphic for me as a child, I enjoyed them. The one that stands out for me is, "Good Guys Wear Black".

Chuck Norris it's one of the best Martial Artist and Action Actor. He was my hero in my childhood with Walker Texas Ranger. In my humble opinion, could be great and intersting a film a bit in the style of the series to pay homage to him and Clarence Gilyard, playing buy Scott Adkins/ Ray Park and Michael Jai White.

Chuck Norris is probably the most well known practitioner, actor and filmmaker with his movies and tv series Walker texas ranger, people need to understand there's a lot of difference between the trained and the untrained, you can become aware of you watch through tv and movies, but unless you actually put any amount of class time into it, you shouldn't Express your opinion unless you can prove it, a huge amount of timely practice will always give you the idea of what is needed to prove what is really proven technic ,and accuracy,

He was a fight instructor and choreographer in action movies and sometimes he used to play the double until such a time that they offered him to do a film which he was the main character.

He has never high kick. Poor kicking.
@PETURK
@PETURK Год назад
You do realize his core "karate" style is old school Tang Soo Do (a [Korean] style that has every kick under the Sun)? Saying he has poor kicking is like saying a crocodile has a poor bite.. if he doesn't apoear to use high kicks I suggest it is a choise for practiality and realism reasons...
@benlunch7618
@benlunch7618 Год назад
Chuck Norris style isnt based on high kicks. If you watch the Karate Nerd videos by now you know Karate didnt have high kicks either. Karate imported high kicks from French Savate kickboxing. In other words most traditional east-asian schools in Japan and Korea have no older tradition of high kicks. Korean schools like Tang Soo Do was similar to Japanese ones because of the Japanese occupation of Korea. AFTER the end of the Japanese occpupation Koreans wanted something own. Taking influences from far less known styles like "Taekyon" and "Hwarang Do" they created modern Tae Kwon Do.. THATS what you think about when you talk about high kicking.
@ahmetozkan1330
@ahmetozkan1330 Год назад
@@benlunch7618 no no. Because making 180 degree split is so difficult. Thats why no hich kick even if he wants to do.
@benlunch7618
@benlunch7618 Год назад
@@ahmetozkan1330 To get good high kicks you dont need 180 degree front split. Every chambered high kick is done in side split. You stretch 180 degree split (also called front split) for different reasons than getting good kicks. Thats why gymnasts and cheerleader girls have perfect 180 split and cant kick good at all. Because when chambered kicks are extended you arent in front split. You are in side split. When younger I could stand against a pillar. One foot in vert side kick with heel and full foot against the ceiling The supporting leg with toes pointing behind me. I still couldnt do 180 degree front split. What I COULD do was one leg with knee and toes pointing up and one leg with knee and toes pointing to the side.

Chuck Norris was the best Martial Arts ACTOR.... In fighting/martial arts n movies there are people like Bill "Superfoot Wallace", Keith Cooke Hierabayashi. Mike Chaturantabut, Jon Valera and a ton of other even less known fantastic people who arent actors but who did incredible stunts... Hollywood have always failed to give stunt people proper credit.... But for ACTING (in the west) thats a contest between people like Chuck Norris, Van Damme and arguably even Lorenzo Lamas with 100+ episodes as the star of Renegade (and 200+ episodes as a non martial arts actor in Falcon Crest)

No other karateka has had the cinematic career that Norris had. His career has spanned decades. Lundgren's only had a handful of memorable movies (Punisher, Showdown in Little Tokyo, and He-Man) that most people can name. I'm not including Rocky, since he wasn't the lead actor and portrayed a boxer. His career came to a screeching halt for years until Stallone once again put him in one of his movies. Van Damme, had an even bigger career than Lundgren, but by the late 90's his popularity really fizzled. I can't even name any of his projects from the past 24 years. Michael Jai White and Scott Adkins, talented martial artists, really good movies under their belts, not even close to having the careers of Lundgren and Van Damme, let alone Norris. Lorenzo Lamas? Not even in the picture. Billy Blanks, more famous for Taebo than his acting. Don Wilson was a kung fu stylist, which is why I don't include him. Norris' body of work may not be Citizen Kane, but people can name most of his work...Breaker Breaker, Good Guys Wear Black, Lone Wolf McQuade, Delta Force, A Force of One, The Octagon, An Eye for an Eye, Silent Rage, Missing in Action, Firewalker, Walker Texas Ranger and so on and so on.
