Imagine being able to write the perfect love story, having 5 years to do it and having one of the most talented actresses in the world to play the female lead. And of course, Zachary, who is immensely talented as well. But Yvonne really is in a class all her own. A love story with all sorts of spy stuff and technology and a ton of family, as well, but always, underlying everything in each episode, is one of the best love stories ever put on film. That's Chuck. Not a spy story with romance. But a love story with so much heart and soul that you watch it over and over and over. Simply superb.
@@clarklaw6416 I thought that after my first watch of the series, which was a binge-watch that only took me about 20 days . But then I waited a year and took time re-watching, noticing all the themes, parallelisms, call-backs and a million other little details that I'd missed before. And I decided that the final episode actually pulls the entire series together perfectly after a very difficult last few eps. Remember that at the beginning of every episode for 5 years Chuck says: "Here are some things you should know or maybe you just forgot"? In the last few minutes of the series, Sarah says: "Chuck, tell me our story." Well, then he does, starting from the first episode, all the way through the last. She already has her memories back but she doesn't yet know if they are true. So she asks Chuck to tell her their story to check to see if she's remembering everything correctly. Once he finishes, she knows the story he's told is true because it matches her recovered memories, and she's fallen in love with him all over again. Thus: "Chuck . . . Kiss me." All is right again. Anyway, dang it. Now I've got to re-watch again!! Thanks a lot!!! 😂
What makes this scene so great is that you wouldn't expect Sarah to be good with those emotional speeches because she always tried to bury her feelings and then she delivers the BEST wedding vows ever.
I remember my eyes were full with tears when i first watched this scene. This is 2nd most emotional scene (the ending scene at the beach is the most emotional of course) of the show imo.
This scene is romantic perfection for me. I imagine Sarah is saying the vows to me and I nod my head slowly, my eyes wide... then the dialogue continues... but I'm still smiling...
