Im pretty sure Chucky can’t crawl if u use Any Means Necessary. So if u use level 1 of that perk u can stall even longer on the pallet so he can’t crawl under.

Hearing all these Chucky voice lines and fun animations makes me think how much more interesting Freddy could have been if they got Robert Englund to voice him

I was kinda hoping that Chucky would drag survivors across the ground when carrying them

The third person and how small he is definitely make him top tier just based on those two things alone imo

Never thought I’d see the day a stealth killer hit the big leagues, and I never could’ve imagined who did it!

I honestly think the biggest difference for Chucky being top 3 is simply because of how _easy_ he is to use and how little punishment he gets for missing (alongside the most deceptively large hitbox ever). His "Hug tech" isn't as complicated to pull off (or as susceptible to weird collision) or as punishing as Blight's on a miss, Scamper into Slice'n Dice invalidates basically any pallet loop (Scott made a whole video on that). Due to ease of use alone I'd say he's roughly on par with Blight. The only reason why he's not better than Blight & Nurse is because he's 110% and can't cross the entire map in one dash or entirely bypass floors, walls & ceilings. Otherwise he's the only Killer easily able to make Survivors run into him without moving in the right tiles and is horribly wonky to blind. Him being 110% is more than compensated by him being able to hug walls like Survivors, Slice'n Dice is a decent map mobility tool even with it's cooldown out of chase (makes him much faster than a 115% Killer overall when patrolling).

His biggest advantage is he's so Tiny lol

Crazy how Chucky from being nearly impossible to implement to being one of the best killers in game.

He’s a killer that I find fun to play and go against but yea gotta agree he seems like blight and weskers love child.

Chucky feels like what Freddy should have been. Fun, full of dark humor, but deadly + og actor. Imagine Robert Englund joking and swearing around when you play as Freddy. Such a missed opportunity.

While strong, I hope they don't nerf him too much at all. It'd be a shame to make a killer that's been so well received into another Fredy situation.

I really think they need to make the cooldown on a missed slice and dice attack longer It’s way too forgiving to miss an attack

It's crazy that Chucky can completely miss his dash attack and still has enough time to grab you out of a vault. Even Blight has a longer cooldown, if a blight misses you you can at least be sure you can make distance to something.

What I love the most about Chucky is how little shits they gave in designing him. The devs couldn’t make him play by the same design rules so they just did away with them! The third person, the challenging flashlight angles, the weird animations! Everything about him is just ridiculous by dead by daylight’s standards and that’s a good thing! The future is bright for even more unique killer design!

Chucky is small, gets the third person perspective, and can strike from concealment. He's basically Pig, if Pig didn't suck ass. (carried entirely by the head-bomb gimmick) It's funny how the M1/110 killer with a hillbilly dash is so dangerous, largely due to subverting and inverting the usual advantages/disadvantages Survivors get over the Killer via perspective and size.

Chucky has more fun in the entities realm than the clown, and that is saying something 😂 His voice lines and laugh are just chef’s kiss, perfect ❤

Chucky basically turns the Survivor's chase advantage (3rd person and small model) against them, AND he counters holding W/comp dropping. Yeah, he's easily top 3, and easily #2 best designed Killer.

Can't wait to check the Good Guy out on live release. It's good that Behavior is taking some risks and doesn't shy away from unconventional, strong killers. Makes it more fun!

I hope Otz does a updated killer tierlist soon, seeing all the nerfs and buffs some killers got, also where xeno is on that list

I think it's nice that devs aren't scared to make strong killers, I was having a blast with Chucky, it was a bit hard at the start but I really like the insane plays he can do

Bhvr went in the right direction with Chucky. They should make stronger killers, especially with how wide the skill gap is becoming in this game. There’s no point in locking down a license and putting hard work into developing a character, only for no one to want to use them because how weak they are.

I'm extremely excited to play as Chucky. When my friends get together in a customer they aren't gonna know what hit them lol.

Chucky is one of the best and most fun additions to the game in a long time, and the survivor taunting never gets old, I hope they don't butcher him in the nerfs

I love how chucky is a more aggressive stealth killers compared to other stealth killers and that might be one of the reasons why he feels great, I hope they don’t nerf him to the ground. (Also your so close to hitting 1 million subs you deserve it Otz ❤️)

Great video as usual Otz! I didn’t get to play the PTB but after a couple of days playing this week, Chucky is a fun challenge as a survivor. It’s fun to try and bait his charge power and is very satisfying when done successfully . A funny thing I’ve noticed is that when he’s in stealth mode is that I’ve never been looking for crows moving more than ever until now due to his height lol. Pallet looping is definitely harder but I’m sure it’ll get easier. I’d say the main negative with him is that he’s too fun to play, which isn’t completely bad obviously but he’s so multifunctional that I feel he’ll be a lot of people’s mains for quite some time due to the variety of play styles you can adopt. Hopefully it doesn’t make some killers more obsolete than they already are.

I think chucky is great, but all he needs imo is a slightly longer recovery from his charge. Otherwise great.

Chucky feels like a Blight that attacks on the first rush, has almost no fatigue, and is more forgiving. Which is so impossible to counter (when played well) in so many areas of maps it's kind of insane. Even if you get him to miss the "rush", he's still right next to you and can just m1 since he has very little miss cooldown on his power. I think if he goes live as is, he'll be very fun to play as, and brutal to play against.

Did you notice that even in 12:12 Chucky was already glitching? There was no walking animation sometimes like at this moment.

Do you have to hold while running? or it stops whenever you bump somewhere or hit someone

The thing that makes him super strong is simply the fact no pallets are safe, if you drop it too early he can simply ignore it as through it never exited. And even if you stun him he can just catch up. They gotta reduce the speed of pallet vaulting, but another thing that makes him super strong is how easily he can navigate around objects cause of his uncapped turn rate in Slice’nDice, example: you can slide along an object one way and immediately turn the other way if a survivor vaults to guarantee a down regardless due to his speed if the survivor waits too long, cap that a bit and slightly increase the duration of the dash to compensate (also cause some pallets are barely out of reach even with max duration so some maps cannot have chained pallets and this would make him 100% more mobile and less map dependent.)

When are we gonna get the tierlist you used Otz ?

I think Chucky might be stronger than blight, after noticing how different players notice and play with different strong points of the character, if it goes live as it is, is just a matter of time before some players master all his tricks and discover some new ones, it feel as he has so much hidden potential (Lynxi jumping threw a window from a hill is a good example of the potential tricks Chucky can do)

Finally a fun looking killer. Inevitably will be nerfed into the ground.

im pretty sure due to not needing to make nearly as many 1st person animations, BHVR put the animation team to work by making all the really cool stuff wee see, so im not expecting this many small animations in future chapters due to this

I really hope he comes to live servers the way he is. It will be really nice to see the top meta killers change a bit

I’m more worried about how OP the Trickster is going to be after this buff. I’m glad they are making him faster but Main Event after 6 blades is ridiculous 🤯

His camera prospective and height alone make him incredible.

Didnt manage to hop on the ptb, so excited for his release next week. There is a few changes he probably needs though. The aura reading addon is insanely strong and needs nerfing, He needs a longer cooldown for missing cause hes not really punished for making a mistake at the moment, and his pallet vault speed needs to take longer to make sure it doesnt guarantee hits cause guaranteed hits are really unhealthy for the game. outside of those minor changes, hes really well designed, a really good addition to the roster

What I like about Chuky is that his that voicelines render any attempts at abiding with YT swearing restrictions useless. DbD embraces it’s new age restriction even more with this killer

Hes definitely got a high skill ceiling and the fact hes actually arguably stronger than 95% of the roster, cannot wait to see what chucky players will be able to pull off so we can see this killers full potential

I think the missed special attack needs a little bit more of a cooldown. It feels like you win regardless if you hit or miss.

I feel like its the missing hit on ability being forgiving feels a bit like xeno tail miss when he released and shoud be a bit nerfed as well

I'm glad that they have finally added a tip top killer that's easy to use. Most require months of actual dedication to do alright with them while Chucky seems very intuitive.

I think there should be more punishment for missing hidey ho attack. Wesker doesn’t even move that fast and recover quickly after a missed dash. Idk a bit ridiculous imo considering how strong chuckys ability is with undetectable and no red stain on top of his small size

If you told me 2 years ago that Chucky would not only be in DBD, but also be one of the best killers in the game, I would call you a madman.

Hopefully they don’t nerf him because he looks so much fun to play as and not as hard to learn like the other strong killers

As a aeternum player i'd just like to tell that the part of showmatch you are showing wasnt really representative of the strengh of the killer We played fairly bad, and he had a 4 gen bottom with no pallet, only shack and an ormond gym. An Oni or wesker could easily have got the same result in this situation. And calamity constantly outted, with 6/7 stages average i believe, i think its more likely the result this killer should get. Good video tho

The only thing is by the time they finished one Gen with otz, the team I played would already have opened the exit gates

I think making a tiny killer was a bad idea. I didn't want Chucky to be in the game because he would just be so small that it would be hard to see him. And with the Hidey-Ho mode, it's even harder to see him. I recommend watching one of Kyto or Spooky Loopz's (I think there are a few others too) videos when they played with a tiny Ghostface and tiny Michael Myers! It was very hard to run loops just because they can't see him. Don't get me wrong, Chucky looks like he would be fun to play! But I'm really not looking forward to playing against him.

the best suggestion i've seen is to swap his scamper speeds between when using slice and dice and hidey ho

if you pre aim with slice and dice you can hit alot of snipes with his power

i hope he stays the same, it's been a long time since we got a strong killer

The chuck hug is surprisingly great

There should probably be more of a drawback if he misses his lunge/dash. That's really forgiving, and it seems like you can even just use it to help close the distance even if you know you won't hit.

I think a slightly longer missed slash and dash attack cooldown and a slower scamper under a pallet would be great slight nerfs to reward survivors for great play.

I would be interested to see if third person view stays for going live. It seems op to completely negate a killer disadvantage like that.

Can't wait to test him. I really hope he is not too diffucult on console. My main is Doctor and i enjoy Spirit and Legion but i play a lot more survivor. Chucky seems so fun to play as and against 😁 Big fan of him since my childhood so i really look forward to the release, sadly there is still no ptb for console 😒

I feel so dbd smart, the lobbies take forever in ptb so I only played one match as Chucky and didn’t use addons but was thinking the yellow miss recovery and s&d duration would be really good, I couldn’t figure out how to hit much with the power attack in the one game but kept closing distance with the power then getting a hit anyway before they get a pallet
