Fresh local bait is always best. Especially if you can use a cast net or seine net where you're looking for live baits. I'm not sure about the ghost shrimp in the US, but here in Oz the males have the large claw and are usually whitish/grey to pink. The females will be pink through to yellow/orange and smaller, with small pink/white claws and often carry clutches of small orange eggs. We call them yabbies or pink nippers, depending on where you're from.
So I am hearing someone is sandbagging......hurt should/hamstring/back.....whatever!!!! I won't tell Bearded Bradley, trust me!!!! Nice pomps.....great video!
Yessir!!!! My favorite three Beach Fishermen. beach Bum, Bearded Brad, and my man Fred!!! Man you all are hyping me up for fishing season here in Maryland. I went out three times in the month of March. I caught absolutely nothing!! I did enjoy the ideal weather though. 😢😅
ok Brad. I made your ghost shrimp pump. I'll be around the FlorBama area Thursday. I'll let ya know if it works. It was a great video btw. Happy Fishing! Cheers!!
NOAA and the Anti Fishing groups in Montgomery and Tallahassee ie Marine fisheries diverse hires from the Ivy league have zero clue about the Gulf fish populations.
For the elastic thread go to a sewing department in Walmart or whatever variety store and get it. Out west we use it for sand shrimp to help keep it on the hook. Thanks for the mini vacation and please stay safe
The last two times I stayed on 30A in Florida. I brought my sand flea rake. The number of sand fleas there is unbelievable. Every scoop of the rake results in at least 2 to 3 dozen I have not seen them that thick in Gulf Shores ever.
Magic thread is used a lot in the north to hold on clam and chunk bait. Thanks for pointing out the rational for choosing the spot. I am trying to learn more about reading the surf to fish.
Hi I have seen lots of the videos and I'm a subscriber in this video I see that your fishing with sand fleas I have seen a video where there is some type of sand worm that is caught with cut up sardines by spreding the scent on the water in your hands if that's something that is of this interest I would like to see if that's possible here in the waters of Florida or Georgia give me alert on that subject if that's a fishing technic that is useful thank you.
Being in and editing videos is his work. They go together because it's popular with the fans and more fun than going alone. And they can help each other. But yeah, he's working.
All's I can say is...I WISH that I was down there fishing with y'all...but up here in the DMV...working!! Soon...very soon!! You all rock!! #nUmberoNefAn
I'm hitting the beach this weekend. Feels like I've been waiting for Pompano season forever. Nice to see them hitting. Hopefully things will be just as good over here to the East.
My wife is a Physical Therapist I’ll ask her about it and get back to you brother. I was in Gulf Shores in November for my honeymoon and I probably caught 100 catfish off the beach along with one ladyfish a couple croakers and a redfish. Question: The catfish y’all hate so much sure look and taste like what we call channel cats in California and we don’t find them in the ocean. As far as table fare goes they are the best tasting catfish there are. I cooked up a couple while I was there and couldn’t tell the difference. Think you should do a catfish catch and cook. Filet em dip em in an egg wash and roll em in cornmeal with salt pepper , garlic powder and paprika and fry those puppies. Love to see your reaction. Love you guy’s content.
I've learned a lot about beach fishing to be prepared for a vacation trip to Fort Morgan in June. I'll be sure to check out Beach Bum Outdoors while we are down! Always enjoy your all's videos!
I have had success with a long-term hamstring tendinitis (a little different than your issue). What ended up helping was a combination of things: rest, with low-impact exercise was a big one (this needs to be progressive intensity). But also, LOTS of stretching, and foam rolling. Inserts when you're on your feet may also help because your foot arches may be causing it. They said I'd have it forever, but it healed after 3 years.
Yes, please get miracle thread! I can’t ever find it at any local stores and have to order it on Amazon. Which I hate to do. Much rather spend my dollars with y’all.
It's all about stretching when you have issues as your describing, be sure to stretch your back muscles as well its all connected. Also a combination of cold and then heat has helped as well. Hope you feel better.
You made me go scout the beach over the bridge from my house on North Topsail Beach, NC 😂 saw a group of porpoises circling some bait but seaweed in the surf
Great video! Is there chance of catching any redfish, speckled trout, or blue fish this time of year? Will be there in a few weeks and want to do some surf fishing with artificial.
Going to panama city beach in September and plan to try and get some sand fleas to fish with how do you keep them alive say you want to take them on the pier
