Personal opinion, she is the most versatile singer India movie industry has ever got. At the age of 80, she still is flawless and sound like a teen ager. Asha ji, legend of legends. Had the pleasure to see and hear her live, she is the one who doesn't even require music. :)

This is Asha Bhosle and She is my favourite! my mom used to sing just like her hence I love her more... She is R.D.Burman's widow and is 88 years old, she has the Best songs to her credit. RDB was, by far, one of the Best Musicians to have ever lived and his troupe of musicians still do perform in a lot of places, the variety that these musicians portray is truly exemplary!

I wish there was a video of her singing Jeevalaga. That would be my recommendation for Asha Bhosle. The next best is watching the songs from Umrao Jaan.

I always appreciate the way you carefully analyse each piece of video. But, in this case I was THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED, not your fault, the instruments drowned her voice to a great extent. Asha ji is one of the world's greatest singers alive. To agree with me you have to listen to atleast 10 of her songs from 60s to 90s. The variety of songs she have sung so far is unparalleled, and each with perfection in terms of notes, expressions and all of it. Now regarding higher notes, most Indian singers can sing in three octaves. Please listen to "AAO HUZOOR TUMKO", without any video, only listen, then perhaps you can understand her.None of the new generation singers can come even near. You ask any Indian music lovers they will agree. Have you ever seen Shreya or Arijit performing with live orchestra, with actual instruments?

Today there was a concert in remembrance to Lata Mangeshkar. songs sung at this very hour at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hall Vile Parle India , free for all her fans. The Mangeshkar own this very famous renowned play theatre . If in India Mumbai come to this place to watch shows (for ex Marathi banna) My life’s joyfull experience was watching events at the theatre
