It is a beautiful island but there are so many things to build like more hotels, resorts, good cement roads and highways, more business establishments. etc. Good Luck.
To those of you who commented on this. The people of Chuuk are wonderful people. There is so much more to Chuuk than just diving. The people all know that the roads are rough but the government is working on improving them... I have been a volunteer at Chuuk High for the last year and will be returning again this year. Chuuk does have challenges, but the community is working on fixing them. One of the issues is that Chuuk High students have little access to books. I was there in 2009,i see nothing has changed,Wanted to go back this year but with the aftermath of the Japanese nuclear reactor,it seems the waters in chuuk and palau seem pretty radioactive now,so I decide to pass.Great diving,too bad.
