CHVRCHES - GOOD GIRLS (JOHN CARPENTER REMIX) 

The fact I live in a timeline where one of my favorite filmmakers collabs with Chvrches blows my mind.

The lyrics hit different when you think about John Carpenter giving us one of the most recognizable final girls (initially a "good girl" and now a legendary take-no-shit badass) in horror history. I love this!

First Robert Smith ... now John Carpenter ... Chvrches are absolutely killing it with collabs!! Love the original, but this version definitely has the edge for me.

I like this version better than original! It's a little darker somehow and the guitar solo really stands out!

Slightly different feeling to the original, yet the lyrics are exactly the same. This has a triumphant/heroic/achievement feeling and the chorus hits you way harder!

For years I've thought that CHVRCHES would do well to collaborate with Dirk Ivens of DIVE/The Klinik/Absolute Body Control/Blok 57/Sonar/etc. This year we've heard collaborations with Robert Smith and now John Carpenter? Awesome! Much bigger names, though perhaps less pioneering within the synthesizer realms.
