2005 was still fairly oldschool where a round was really a throwdown of a combo and it didnt go round by round, it was timed and so you're more free with how you approach your sets
Parabéns pra ele, blusa amarela, a bandeira do Brasil, arrebentou msm.. =]
I'm Brazilian and when I saw the video for the first time I imagined that we would have an unbeatable champion, but soon I realized that Pelezinho evolved little from 2005 to the following years, repeated movies almost always the same presentation very different from the B boy Neguin who in 2009 lost and came back to win the 2010 championship
That's good, man. Nice to finally hear someone say that. Stick to your own style and to your own flavor. If power are those two then keep to it. Just be true to yourself, man. Peace.
Palezinho Owns!!Palezinho's got style to keep viewers glued their asses to their seats!! Palezinho U Rule Man!! U are my fav Bboy of all time!! Keep it up man!!
when you're young and fit, you are at your peak. as you age, it takes longer to regain your strength and recover. You don't practice as much, so extra calories increase weight and that weight decreases movement speed and makes it more difficult to break.
Cico's transitions and landings are what's killing him. He'd be good if he ended his moves with a formal close or even a freeze. It also doesn't help that he has to restart so obvious between doing a cool spin and a dance sequence.
That's part of what I love about street hip hop culture (as opposed to corporate gangsta rap/hip-POP) and breakin' culture: it promotes racial harmony. It's a culture that anyone of any ethnicity, color, nationality or gender can adopt and claim as their own. It started in the streets of New York and Jamaica but now it's a national phenomenon in every country (even North Korea) in every continent. Hip hop is like the MLK of youth culture.
Cico is dope, i like a lot of his power sets. But it seemed liked he messed up on some of the sets. Not only that but also, wasn't much style. Bboying to me is being able to have footwork, freezes, power and dope uprocks. i do a lot of power, but also i try to mix a lot of style in too to make it balanced and well rounded sets. Pelezinho had all of that, i felt Cico was more power and not much else. Although the difficulty of the sets Cico did is up there! Props to both dancers, both talented!
Absolutely no doubt the Pelez' won that!!! Just his back and fron head flips alone with freeze killed Cico!! Although Cico has some amazing moves.. they are all power moves... windmills, 90's etc...he does them very well..but he has little variety! Pelez owned that one...and if he had his last round it would have been a landslide victory with the judges. B-Boy for life!! :D
Cico just has his spins his top rock is whatever but his ground work is.. well needs WORK.. Pelezinho has style a good top rock and is all around a pretty good bboy and deserved to go on to the next round
i'm not a powerhead but in my opinion chico did it. Pelezinho did some Basics: 4 step cc, 6 step hook, hollowback freeze, munchmill and then after breking his nice flips. but chico did some of the best powermoves world wide, you have to train hard for them... and powermoves are b-boying, flips are nice but they arent a big part of b-boying. yes, Pelezinho style is nice, but you need 1 sec and you know, this is chico...he got so much style in his powermoves...anyway both are amazing
yes i do agree because they have a fighting style over there called capoeira that is basically break dancing styled into fighting and they shouldve gotten this guy from tsunami all stars crew... i forgot his name
im talking about this battle, plus keep in mind that cleaner is better than faster. And still, that one set of footwork that Cico does in this battle wiped out pelizinos. Cico kept going, Pelizino kept stalling to do his flips and shit.
