It feels great, honestly. I think it's my new favorite board. I actually won it in a giveaway and just bought the switches based on your video. I do wish the case was more accessible, because I would like to get in and mod the stabs... but I just can't be bothered to deal with the clips yet, haha. Mine also has a major difference from yours, in that my keycaps are the akko clear blues (polycarb caps), which makes the sound profile a bit higher pitched. But I love the polished feeling of the keycaps and it makes the whole experience feel more "glassy". I really do like the layout as well. I've never used a split alice before, but it feels comfortable, even after a long session@@_MS6261
It's from XMI (Xiami). Specifically bought them off qwertyqop, but you could buy them off taobao without the markup, if you know how to order through them.
ive been using the q8 and just find it too hard to enjoy cause of all the ping and hollowness of the board so im waiting for this in the mail now. quick question, is there pe foam on this board?
Unfortunately I have never opened the keyboard up, so I cannot answer the first question, though I'm quite sure it should still work. The stock stabs are alright, they are plate mounted though.
@@_MS6261Thanks for the quick response! Would these stabs be fine with maybe some extra lube or would it be worth upgrading them to something like TX AP stabs plate mount version (I might have these lying around already)?
@@yber15 the TX AP plate mounts > any other plate mount stabs I've used so far, no complaints there but I never changed it out too A little bit of lube definitely fixed the job for mine
Feels good, no issues with latency when using wired mode, but depending on the kind of game you want you may prefer something with F-row keys. I only used 2.4GHz for work and I did not feel any discernable lag. I never tried bluetooth.
Thanks for info! I meant the slanted WASD for gaming.. anway, I already ordered mine, was a bit intimidated by the alice layout, but we gotta try it all right? 😅😅
@@user-yt4co4yc6q As for that, there's not much difference since the keys are still pretty much where you expected it to be! The low cost of entry for this layout makes it much more easy for people to experiment and try out this unique layout before deciding whether to invest into the more expensive keyboards with this layout
