Amazing video. I just got into cigars and the lady selling me the cigars you recommended in another video was throwing these different sizes terms at me and I didn’t know. Because of that she was getting frustrated
Sorry to hear about that. There's a lot to learn about cigars when you're starting out and the technical terms can be overwhelming. Stay tuned in to our content and you'll be an aficionado in no time 👊
Excellent information! Thank you! I did not know about the sugar on tongue followed by water to deal with the quiziness on the stomach. I feel good there is a help for getting over that when I am smoking a strong cigar.
I love the vid - 1 correction plume does not exist ! its been investigated and it is mold . Do not buy cigars with that. It is not always bad , but it could be bad. Me i smoke it if it is not that mutch . But its not good to have that. Avoiding is the best.
My very first cigar, I got that queasy feeling after smoking a bomb, I was really hungry at the time. Ever since then I've known to make sure I ate something before I smoke.
*Watches video*: Yea, there's no such thing as plume LOL XD Seriously tho, there's some good youtube videos that have examined the plume topic pretty thoroughly. So far no physical evidence the "plume" is anything but a type of mold. Love your videos!
Your videos are tremendous, really informative, great reviews... I never knew that term "Dog Rocket", in some places in Latino-America we use the term "Mabinga", is a Cuban word for what I heard, bad quality cigar...
In my counrty Cyprus and in Greece, we mistakenly don't use a translated term for "cigar" and we instead call everything "πούρο" (neuter) or "πούρος" (masculine), which comes from "puro", the single origin cigar.
To my knowledge (and please let me know if i'm wrong): There are no documented cases of "plume". There are *lots* of documented cases of "plume" actually being mold when looked at under a microscope.
Drew Estate Factory Smokes are a perfect yard 'gar. Holts, the best cigar you sell (IMHO)is the Old Henrys. You guys are just another victim of the " Page".
Not at all!! If you feel like nubbing it, nub it. I do it all the time if the cigar is too good to end. Just don't stump it out in the ash tray at the end.
Had a couple of Romeo y Julietas that I was worried were growing mold. I didn’t want to jump the gun and toss them. Now I know they were just pluming. Awesome.
A traditional Churchill is actually 7x47 or 7x48, the 50RG is a newer invention. We actually don't know where the term "Stogie" comes from, the Conestoga, PA reference is one of several possible options. Clint Eastwood smoked cheroots (he actually hates smoking at all) which is a freeform roll that can range in quality - though most on the market today are pretty low quality unless you're on a farm sampling bales on a tour or something. I hate the plume vs mold debate. Plume has never once been proven to exist while mold is one of the most successful forms of life on the planet so odds are not in plumes favor even if it does exist under some mythical conditions. It very well may be real but your odds of getting it vs mold aren't good.
