I've won several.bundles and a couple boxes from here I'm home town from a few giveaways, I bought one of the bigger boveda box humidors and put it in one of my ice chests. Works perfectly. One of the larger boveda 320 gram packs and my ice chest, amazing!

That sounds like it can be a great way to store boxes of cigars and keep them in great condition. Thanks for sharing and watching!!!

Hello there Mardo, I have a question. For some reason, I cannot find over 62% of Boveda packs... I don't buy premium cigars. The most premium for my budget are the puritos from Romeo y Julieta and Toscano Toscanello. I put the pack in a zip lock bag which fits it (a little bigger) and add one satchet of these (I used to put in the 69 one but now I'll be using 62. Do you think it's good? What is the ideal range to have for boveda packs to protect and humidify the cigars? Thank you!

I just got some cigarillos from Davidoff but I do not have a humidor nor do I have any of those humidifier packs. Is it safe to store the cigarillos for few days in just a lock & lock container in their original box? Or will the cigarillos go bad or will "beatles hatching" happen in few days of poor storing? And my room is pretty hot through out the day and pretty warm through out the night, which I'd assume is less than ideal for the cigarillos. I'm also in CA so it's pretty dry out here. I got these cigarillos unexpectedly as a gift and I really want to preserve them the best I can as I know that Davidoff is a premium cigar brand so the cigarillos are premium too. Thank you.

Hey, thanks for the video, what are those bovado pouches, like what's in them? Are they like those silica packets in beef jerky?

Check out the Boveda site for specifics but it is a liquid solution that is design to keep a specific RH level by either pull or push moisture into the humidor. Thanks for watching!

Is a xikar travel humidor okay to store cigars long term with boveda? I just prefer the seal of plastic and my Partagas naturales and New Waves did well while my LFD suave suffered a bit.

As long as you change out the Boveda pack when need plastic airtight containers are perfect for cigars. Still store them in a cool location away from direct sunlight and major blast of ac or heat. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

If I do have a humidor what’s a good percentage to go with?
@MardoCigars
@MardoCigars 2 года назад
If it is wood 72% is usually the way to go unless you have Cuban cigars which are rolled tighter than other cigars and produce more humidity from the cigars itself and you should use 65%. The environment you are in plays a factor too if you're in a very dry or humid place you may have to adjust to a different level to compensate. A calibrated hygrometer and seeing how the cigars smoke is the best way to know if the level is right for your cigars but shoot for 69% to 72% to start. Thanks for watching!

Do the bovedas stay good if you buy a four pack and only use one?
@donammann3550
@donammann3550 2 года назад
They are individually wrapped, so yes.
@MardoCigars
@MardoCigars 2 года назад
Yes, they have a pretty long shelf life if you keep them in their individual plastic. Keep them in a safe spot though out of direct sunlight. Thanks for watching.

If you have a few of the same cigars test it out have a few in and a few out. Most important thing about cigars is finding out what your preferences is. Thanks for watching!

Hi Mardo if you have few cigar boxes gifts and giveaways can you keep them safe for aging on their original bixes without puting them in a humidor? If yes, wouldn't they get moldy? Or do I need to remove them from boxes? Please I need an advice
@MardoCigars

Some cigar boxes are built with great quality and have great seals that can act as its own humidor if you have a Boveda pack inside. However it would be best if even those are in an enclosed temperature and humidified environment close to 70 degrees Fahrenheit and 70 percent Relative Humidity. You can place the cigar boxes in plastic containers or even coolers. To remove any plastic odors before using them place bags of charcoal filters that are designed to pull odors out inside for a few days before putting the boxes of cigars inside. Throw in Boveda two way humidification packs and keep the container in an area that does not have direct sunlight and is relatively cool and will be good to go. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
