I heard an interesting interview with Ricky Rodriguez and he said he was having a hard time finalizing the CAO Flathead until someone who was helping him make it suggested he try it box pressed. Ricky said the box shape changes the air content you're taking in with the draw and can actually influence the flavor as a result. You should ask him for the details!

Tim… what’s the story on aging the cigars does cellophane help or not? I’ve spoke to a cigar maker that said they continue to age in the cellophane. Others have said you have to take them out of the plastic? What is a connoisseur to do if he wishes to age his tobacco again long ashes to you

My experience is if it’s in cellophane it ages slower, but still does age. If you want to age it quicker, take it out of cellophane and it will age much faster. Hope this helps! :)
