I have always liked Cilla, who was a very much underrated singer. I was just reminded of this song because Robert Plant chose it as one of his "tracks of my years" on BBC Radio 2 earlier today, what a great compliment to Cilla that even if the general public forget how good she was, that other great artists recognise what a fantastic singer she was.

I was a teenager then. And I amDutch. But I was addicted to Cilla’s songs in those days. One by one more than lovely songs. Thank you , Cilla for colouring my youth in a very positive way. RIP and may you find forever peace.

Im 66yrs old now and when I was a young boy in the 60s l had the biggest crash on her, such a beautiful voice and lady. R.I.P ❤❤❤❤

Cilla Back deserved her career in entertainment. From unknown to Pop Star , TV Show Star and Game Show Star. Hard work , Talent and believing in herself and a loving husband manager the stars aligned for her. The Girl did Good. RIP.

I love Cilla Black! And this song always makes me feel so emotional and nostalgic. I can do without the male dancers, though and I wish she was really singing live. She is obviously lip syncing, as most singers did on the variety shows back in the 60s and 70s. But I do love seeing my childhood crushes, John and Paul!

Very, very good song by Mc Cartney/Lennon. It should be played more often. It's underrated.

What a wonderful voice

Absolutely gorgeous. I never cared much about her two first hit singles; THIS was It for me. Here George Martin's half jazzy, half classical arrangement is so clever, it lifts the melody from what is hardly more than a plain love song. I love the chord break halfway - don't know what it's called in musical terms, a kind of hopscotch stumble, wonderful. And notice that pianos on hits from these days sounded like church bells, it's typical early sixties. And Cilla - "simple cloakroom girl with a voice like a fog horn" - always seemed so at ease with cameras and audiences and other top performers. You couldn't help loving her immediately. After "It's for you" came the stunningly beautiful and sad "I've been wrong before" (when no one had heard of Randy Newman yet), which shockingly wasn't a top 5 hit for Cilla, and neither was another Very Best one: "If I thought you'd ever change your mind" , it kept hanging at the #20 spot. Stupid, stupid pop audiences....where were their heads! Or rather, their ears.

Cilla had a great voice, what a song by John&Paul. Didn't realise they had dancing scaffolders in the 60s,tbh.💪🎶🎶

Just listening to are Cilla, Have to say something, Didn't take much to her at first all those Decades ago, That's all in the Past, She was a down to Write person on her T.V Shows Lovely, She had lots of TV personality Friend Sad to say a few have passed away, Only last month i new she was making an appearance on Benidorm had to watch it, She allways seem to have a smile aspesely on the Pop programmes in the 60s She got on well with John Lennon, & Paul McCartney, Again, Those Days have Gone, 😫 , Cilla Black, God Bless you & Family We all Miss you, ❤❤❤
