This Cinecraft production was created in 1947 for General Electric as the awareness of FM radio was beginning to grow with the American public. This film explains amplitude of AM vs FM radio waves and why FM can deliver higher fidelity sound. It promotes the GE Musicphonia line of console radio receivers. The story is told through a married couple who have known each other since they were kids and have seen radio evolve from Short Wave to AM to the new FM signals. It uses Kodachrome color footage to depict how much more life like FM music sounds in contrast to AM radio and Short Wave, which is depicted in Black and White film.
