@@jdbarker32 Depended on what you wanted to do, for basic file-sorting it wasn't too bad, in this case a command like "dir/p/w *.mid" would show you all the MIDI files and sort them alphabetically

I recorded on an album with a band in 1992 using one of the very first versions of Cubase. It’s mind bending that we did it all without the help of a Cinco MIDI Organizer.

If you listen closely, the child actually says " Dad, can YOU hear Camptown Races now ? ", instead of " Can WE ". As the story goes, making such a huge blunder on a national TV commercial sent him into a terrible depression, and he stopped acting altogether and later became a travel agent. Or he was executed for his mistake. There is evidence supporting both versions of the story.

Before I knew anything about computers, I thought that SCSI was a made up term like Tulley Toggle. Now I know that the Tulley Toggle is real, and is an essential component of any computer!

The thing that kills me is how close I came in life to needing this. I was just starting to get into MIDI when I took a sudden hard turn into .MOD files instead, and they all had easily-viewable track names, ruining Cinco's genius business model

Thank god this was invented! My MIDI files were out of control. Coffee table, loveseat, armoire in the living room all had MIDI files spilling all over them. Eventually as I continued to acquire and create more mindblowing MIDI files, the collection spread and then my entire kitchen and bathroom, including the bidet, became overrun with the files (MIDI!). But now that I have the CMO they’re all organized!! Thanks, Cinco!!

Those MIDIs would sound a lot better if the Cinco MIDI Organizer was hooked up to the Cinco-Roland MT-32 or to a modern PC running the Cinco Retro Real Time Sound ADLib-ulizer via the Cinco SCSI to USB-MIDI cable.

The thing that kills me is the fact that you have to print the list and then enter that ridiculously long number I can only assume is meant to be an inefficient hash of the MIDI file. Either that or it’s actually the actual file contents in decimal coded binary.
