Kel's First Reaction to Cinderella's classic song "Don't Know What You Got". Enjoy!! Much Love, Kel-n-Rich www.knr.wtf for SONG REQUESTS Facebook: Richard Gafter Boca Raton kelnRichG@gmail.com
I remember buying this album "Long Cold Winter" the day it released and was instantly blown away by how much they matured musically from their debut album "Night Songs". Tom Keifer is an incredibly talented musician (lyricist, piano, lead vocals, rythym guitarist, lead guitarist, songwriter, arrangement, harmonica and much more). This band was so underrated at the time it was almost criminal.
So many of the reaction channels just completely ignore hair metal and it sucks because they are missing out on a lot of fun. Thank you for doing this.
6:35 Yup, don't take things for granted because if you get used to something and then lose it you might be pissed. Think about what you have and how easy it is to lose something that you love!
I kind of wish I was her just to see everything new again and how awesome it was the first see all those videos and bands seventies and eighties child so yeah to go back and see him all over again for the first time to be awesome
This is my jam! Thanks for playing it! Loved Cinderella back in my middle school yrs. (still do) Tom Keifer has a new album out called Rise (it’s on Spotify) and it’s soo great! Give it a listen, if ya like that bluesy rasp of his. Songs are very raw. 🥰 After several throat surgeries, I’m so thankful he is still singing. Love you guys! Your relationship reminds me so much of me and my late hubby Chris. 💚 Keep it up! PS...Winston is a doll!
I saw this band in their hayday at thr Richfeild collasium which no longer exsits. They totaly blew me a way.I wish this band was still out there. Every lp was great.
@@cl8onj388 AMEN! Awesome song! Tossing those guitars over their shoulders! I tried that when I started playing guitar. There must be a trick because I bashed myself in the back of the head
I'm a huge Cinderella fan! Thank you so much for reacting to this! If you want to revisit them, look at the vids for Shelter Me & The More Things Change. Enjoy!! And thanks again!!
I grew up a classic rock fan, so I never really got into much of the 80's "hair bands". But.... I find Cinderella don't get enough respect. Some of their songs (like this one and Heartbreak Station) have terrific composition, lyrics and Keifer's voice is outstanding! .
Absolutely agreed. First time I ever really heard them was opening for AC/DC At the Cow Palace. Blown. Away. They were really lumped into the wrong genre.
All that hair got in the way of a whole hell of a lot of talent. Wish more bands could have adapted to the changes music went though. The first three Cinderella albums were 3xPlatinum, 3xPlatinum, Platinum -- and then, grunge. Fourth and final album peaked at #178.
Thanks Kel and Rich this video made my day remembering getting to see The Bullet Boys, Winger, and Cinderella summer of 1989 in Tempe Arizona, they performed this song. I was 19 at the time, and its really true you really dont know what you got till its gone until this thing or that person isnt there anymore, and for me its also wondering where 31 years went
Wife saw same tour in Philadelphia & says Tom dropped from the ceiling on a platform playing the piano for this song...she reminds me every time we listen to this 😎
Cinderella! Loved them from the get go. When the 2nd album came out, I had just came home on leave. My step brother and I went down to the music store and got the cassette, tossed it into the player and away we went. This harmonica/dobro/slide bluesy number came on and straight into a hard rocking blast! Bad Seamstress Blues/Falling Apart At The Seams! We were blown away! "Let's go boys..."
Classic 80s rock ballad, takes me back, they are definitely social distancing in that video😂😂 great reaction guys, glad to see you well, iam the same, missing seeing friends, socialising, it will make us appreciate it more when we can do it again, Stay Safe and Healthy Kel'n'Rich
Awesome song & amazing singer.... they kinda just snuck into the picture then.....MTV MAGIC ! Tom has that wicked growl in his voice 😆🎙Excellent reaction Kel 😇🎹 WinstonWoof... loves the growl ! I can hear Woof in the backgrond... he wants more Cinderella 🐶🎙 🔊 Nobody's Fool 🕪 🔊 Somebody Save Me 🕪 🔊 The Last Mile 🕪 🔊 Gypsy Road 🕪 A bit-O-trivia K-n-R... Gene Simmons ( KISS ) discovered Cinderella not Bon Jovi as many people think ! 🤔💡
despite Tom Keifer have lost his voice, he is back and sounds pretty damn good, and still looks the part (unlike a few from that era), there is aversion of this live from a cruise last year, he has still got it
Awww man! I love the intro! That was truly deep and totally accurate! We need human interaction and human touch… just a great opening message guys! And I love Cinderella and this song, so it makes this reaction video so so much better! One 🌎One❤️
Had a friend in high school ask me for a recommendation for a band with a Nazareth, AC/DC, Accept kind of gravelly voice. Their first album had just dropped! Needless to say, it was just what the rocktor ordered. 🤘
Man, some Hair Metal, yes, yes, yes, it’s about time. Cinderella’s first album was a little edgier, a little more of a Metal feel. Their second and third albums take a more bluesy/rock edge that became Tom Kiefer and the bands signature sound from there on. Since I spent my 20’s living through the 80’s Metal, Hair Metal, Hard Rock world domination of music I was in absolute sheer heaven. Bands like Cinderella, Warrant, Poison, Motley Crüe, White Lion, L.A.Guns, Van Halen, Dokken, Extreme, Fastway, Firehouse, Kix, Krokus, Ratt, Slaughter, Tesla, Y&T and Zebra, (I think I got about 95% of the 80’s Hair Metal bands), made what I think was great, fun rock and roll music. Not to mention the 70’s bands that rose to higher heights during MTV’s heyday, like Aerosmith, Judas Priest, AC/DC, Blue Öyster Cult, Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Ozzy Osborne and ZZ Top (I know I’m missing some important bands). I loved the rock music from the 80’s. Getting back to Cinderella, I submitted a lot of suggestions on your website for Cinderella and a lot of the bands I also mentioned above. I’m hoping you’ll consider playing some of them (or a lot of them, lol). I think The Long Cold Winter album from Cinderella is probably their best album, you can’t go wrong playing anything off of that album. I’ve been doing the isolation thing and except for a little cabin fever the other day, I’m doing good, been spending a lot of time ripping my 800+ CD collection to my computer and listening to the music from them to pass the time, and playing my guitar and writing music. Keep the great reviews going, I love you guys, and remember...... \m/ Stay Metal \m/
I agree with everything you said about Cinderella except one thing. Heartbreak Station is their best album album IMO. I do love Long Cold Winter, though. Just my personal preference.
Tom Keifer is still recording and performing. I saw him in concert just over a month ago. He's had several operations on his throat die to his vocal cords being paralyzed. Still sounds amazing even now. Check out his solo work
Interesting fact is that this is the same lake where Clint Eastwood's High Plains Drifter was filmed. Mono Lake is located just north-east from Yosemite. Great song! Fabulous location!
Great band! The video was shot at Mono Lake east of the Sierra Nevada range in California. The formations are from spring deposits that are exposed due to the very low lake level at the time of the shoot. You can see the lake off in the distance as you head towards the east entrance of Yosemite National Park. The pass is gorgeous! Thank you both and I so enjoy your vids!
Always liked Cinderella. Long Cold Winter and Heartbreak Station are both great classic rock albums. Never thought their glam look fit well with their music, which was real heavy and bluesy. Tom Keifer's solo album is pretty good too. He definitely is influenced by Dan McCafferty of Nazareth.
My 1st English album that I've listened to. Got it from a sister who studied in US. Long cold winter really help me learning English through the lyrics. Love from Malaysia!
The first album was glam rock, Long cold Winter was Blues rock as was still climbing. This video came out in 1988, the release of long cold winter. *6 was their debut album Night Songs.
My first real gf broke up with me when this song was popular. Teenage suffering in a song. What memories, like an odor or scent that brings you back. Thanks guys!
Got to see Cinderella one time, opening for David Lee Roth. Pretty good live band. As others have said, the song Nobody's Fool, or perhaps Gypsy Road, would be a good 2nd reaction to Cinderella.
Lead singer lives in Nashville he reminds me of the singer of CCR wrote so many songs sang lead played so many instruments. Loved Cinderella especially Hearbreak Station Album.
That's O.K. Rich, I'm hugging you like a brother and a friend. You too Kel. Loving on Winston like a puppy. :-) If you see Mr. Peabody, tell him that Sherman and I are ready to return to 2020 in his time machine. LOL :-)
"One for Rock n Roll" has always been one of my favorite Cinderella songs. Such a relatable song for me. "...long as i got rock n roll, I'm forever young". Ain't it the truth....hahaha, 69th like
Long cold winter lp came out in 88. They're still my favorite band after all these years. A lot of people don't realized they released their last lp called still climbing. In the movie Wayne world you hear a song from it called hot and bothered. Have to listen for it (while they're in the club) but that's where i learned about it. Drove everyone nuts until i found answers 😁
That song came out in '88 Rich. ;-) The entire album, Long Cold Winter is a masterpiece, i still listen to them on a regular basis. You should react to more songs from them. :-)
Very cool band!! I saw these guys with Winger & The Bullet Boys on the Long Cold Winter tour. I gave 10 bucks for the ticket!! The whole package cost me less than the price of a ticket in today's world..ticket, t-shirt, refreshments, meal, parking, the whole 9 for 2....can't remember which teenage, spandex wearing hottie I took to this show LOL!! Their encore was a 2 song deal with all 3 bands on stage...Jumping Jack Flash & Sweet Home Alabama...in Huntsville Alabama...they blew the place apart!!!
My girlfriend broke up with me and this song came out….extra painful! I won her back and she’s now my wife/best friend and she’s laying next to me while I’m listening to this song and thinking how horrible that time was but super happy the lesson was learned! ❤
