No questions about Ella. Love her newest face, the details, the hair, i love it. About Charming, his face is pretty funny. I mean with that rooted hair and face he looks like a character from comedy. But i still love his clothing
Cinderella is my favorite Disney character, and this set is so amazingly gorgeous to me! I had to buy it! You did such a fantastic review, going over all the details and even lifting and removing the clothes to show us better! You did an amazing job reviewing this set, thank you!
What I've learned through watching the classic 3 is people don't give enough credit to the microanimations in the princes movements. As an example. Prince philip in the final scene is rocking his body ever so slightly with each step which is a thing that people do. Both he and Aurora are actually stepping on each step of the stairs and turning correctly. Prince Charmings face, in the close shots, are very square and soft. His hair is styled to model a pompadour silhouette crossed with styles in the 40s. His cheeks are so round but also flat that his smile lines invoke a Hollywood smile. It's these subtle actions that really inform who these guys are and you can learn a lot about the motivations just by referencing the trends of the time. Phillip has a very angular and masculine, high cheekbone profile but in 3/4s his face and voice imply a southern boyish charm. So it's a really interesting mesh of the two, compounded with Aurora failing to hide her southern accent.

Thanks for sharing. I have the set in box , so it’s fun to see it out of box. I will say the cut of her skirt is very strange. And had they not cut out all those areas , I think with the extra fabric the skirt would have been fuller. I almost didn’t buy it , because. I think the Saks Cindy , that I also have, is much nicer. But I like having the prince dolls , so I went for it.
First thing...you have a beautiful voice. Second, considering the fact that Charming doesn't really look like the animated prince....he is amazing and really shines in the set, just as much as cindi herself....wonderful set and review

Here's the thing fam. Tails weren't really a thing in the 1860s-80s nor was the high cropped collar or riding boots. Those are solidly 1810s which is very Strange leans too hard into the generic fantasy prince, which is almost always based on late 1700s attire.
Caleb Staines Disney Store stoped doing film collection dolls after beauty and the beast. Belle was trending for being “ugly” so that didn’t help but overall Their dolls always had great quality of clothing and pretty good faces, problem is that the general public was not buying them. Every single film collection doll ended up for sale with huge discounts (as low as $2 dollars for a $34 worth doll.. insane discount) so we can just assume it was not something they profit plus the belle doll getting backlash... They just decided to stop.at least write still have the 16” limited edition ones!
Charmings suit looks too out of time for me lol. Because he exists in early victorian ish but he's royalty so he'd wear a military jacket and this suit looks about 40 years too early with a dash of modern ideals of what the 19th century looked like. I love it but it looks like something Eric would wear.
