Love the comparison, however a fairer comparison would be the cinebloom 20 vs the dream fx.. or cinebloom 10 vs dream fx subtle. I do have the cinebloom 10 myself :)
@@the-creative-block sure it was very informative, but dude, why you didn't take some more test with people in outdoor indoor scenes, with natural light and or without?
Thanks for this man! Does the cinebloom 20 percent bloom the lights as much as the prism filter? And i really just want a filter that cuts out the digital sharpness Would you recommend the cinebloom 10 percent or 20 or dream prism overall?
For an OVERALL filter, I’d say the CineBloom 10%. But that’s for OVERALL shooting. If you really want this effect to hit hard, check out the DreamFX filter. These filters are more effects filters than anything else and if you’re looking to just get rid of that digital feel, check out some 1/8 Black Pro Mist from Tiffen.
@@the-creative-block thanks for the reply brotha I have the tiffen black pro mist 1/8 and it slightlyy removes the digital sharpness but not really man Im actually quite disappointed with it, it doesnt reallt give a filmic look Would you say the cinebloom 10 percent is equal to the tiffen pro mist 1/8?
Anything you use in front of the lens is setting-agnostic. Doesn’t matter what mode you shoot in, it’s always going to have that glow or diffused look.
I enjoyed watching this comparison. I really like the effect the dreamfx filter produces on individual lights and wish my cinebloom (20%) did the same! I haven’t used the microfiber cloth packaged with the cinebloom yet but will be sure to hold onto it should a need arise!
The microfiber is the surprise of the century if you ask me. Let me know how you feel about the 20% versus the 10%. I you do some tests, let me know, I would love to see them. Thanks for watching the video.
20 looks too hazy. Looks like a cheap post filter that’s added in editing. 10 is a sweet spot for the soft look to flatten the picture like the old movies
@@Sinancev shooting this at night is great shooting in the daytime is great with the 20% with a variable nd filter shooting this wide open is really beautiful
