Robotface have expanded our motion control fleet by acquiring the compact Cinebot MINI to be able to deliver motion control to a whole new world of filming locations.
On a recent shoot, our crew were able to setup the Cinebot in a range of locations. Lightweight and compact, the MINI is chief of practicality and versatility. This project required multiple identical video plates of the young actors moving through their scenes to be able to fade them from one spot to another without breaking the movement of the camera.
The DOP enjoyed moving the rig quickly into position manually and programming the moves by pushing buttons on the arm itself.
We used the battery power option, which worked a treat and powered the rig the entire day and was the factor that made the remote shoot possible.
There really is no limit to where this tool can go.
