This first video goes over the basics of the user interface for Cinema 4d 2023. Future videos will cover navigation, move/scale/rotate tools, working with the object manager, and more.
I have gone through many "beginners" tutorials for C4D over the last 6 months. It didn't feel like I made any progress until I found your tutorials ...this is the playlist I was looking for from the beginning... this is what should be on the Cineversity page. Well done and thank you so much!
I'm coming back to Cinema 4D after 4 years and I really needed this. The interface has changed so much from earlier versions that it was hard for me to follow any tutorial online. This is very helpful. Thank you for putting together an amazing series. Oh, also, wish you a great day!! :)
Yeah. I agree with you. In my native idiom there are not tutorials aupdated to this new interface. I had to search for tutorials in english. Thanks guy
This was a great video! Many of the tutorials available are for earlier versions of C4d, and it's kinda hard to learn from those tutorials when the user interface looks so different. Thank you for this video!
This is a brilliant tutorial. I'm a complete beginner and I've struggled to find a channel which is super helpful and explains in the way you do. Thanks so much.
Insta-subbed ! Thank you very much ! I'm jumping in 2023 right now from Softimage ( don't laugh ) =)) for my modeling needs and this kind of beginner tutorials a exactly what i need ! There are almost no tutorials for 2023 C4D right now and learning from older ones with completely different intterface is a bad idea if you're beginner. It would be great to see the overwiew of basic polygon modeling tools =)))
You are very welcome. I will get to the polygon modeling tools relatively soon. Have to do navigation, selection tools, and maybe a couple other things first.
@@BTB3D I’ve done quite a few now and your teaching style is by far the best. I can’t afford to buy the software yet (I know sad 😂) but I have a good memory and believe it or not your tuition is so clear I’m learning it just from watching..I know because they have a licence at one of my freelance gigs and I just remembered everything you taught. Thank you so much
I just installed Cinema 4D, and I never ever worked with anything to do with 3D. I just used Photoshop, illustrator and InDesign as a Graphic Designer. The thought of 3D and animation seems so intimidating to me, and what makes everything harder is to learn this stuff online. But man this video gave me the confidence to start. I am yet to see the other parts, but I just want to say I LOVE the way you explain everything and not leave out simple pieces of information that beginners like myself really find valuable! (which is what half of tutorials out there do!) Great job man, definitely subscribing!
Great tutorial! Thanks! I was wondering if there's a way to overlap some Cinema 4d Studio tabs for grouping them, for exampla as "Objects" and "Takes" or "Attributes" and "Layers" are...is it possible?
Great video, second christmas day nothing to do so I am very happy with people like you who can help me on my way so my question that I cannot get answered anywhere on the net : why is it that the programmers of Cinema 4d thought of placing the Z-axis horizontal, I cannot come to terms with that whole face change and align thing, why is that ? Why is it that they didn't place the Z axis vertical like it should and it cannot be changed can it ? It is sooooo annoying .... anyone else that cannot work with the Y axis being vertical ? Tried 3ds max wich is a nightmare to work with the results are amazing and no complaints about that but what happened to the normal coordination in projects I mean Fusion 360 allows you to coordinate RELATIVELY easy it is still a pain in the ass but at least you can coordinate inside your project really fast..... the y axis up ? Why ? What is it that people who program things like this smoke the wrong stuff or what is it that they are smoking I men we Dutch made Blender for you guys and ya know.... seems that we Dutch need to take over the world again or something for things to change because the 3d software is made like you they don't WANT you to work easy and fast it is like they want to make money yet they prohibit you from being productive hmzzzz coincidence I do not think so ! ! Anways..... good video I am going to check out the rest as well becauase UNFORTUNALY we need to ! ! ! I work with many oh so many music production software and ya know what ? Not having this problem ! Everything works like it should every single function is where it should be and it works like a charm ... of ANY third poarty then you come to 3d software and ......... then this.......... a mountain of chaos.... no idea why absoluuuuuutely no idea why ! !
It could be for a number of reasons. I know when I started with graphing in math class Y was vertical so it makes sense to me. I think Maya also uses Y up. It could also have to do with Maxon being a german company too.
I'm a bit slow, maybe I missed it during the school of motion course but do you know how to paste an object into a selected spot and not to the world axis center?
Hello brother i need your help in Cinema 4d I want to play a video in a object(3d cube) suppose it is of 15 sec and i want that video should play only for 4-5 sec rest of time any image from video should be displayeed how can i do it?? Please help
Hello everyone. Does any have a 800 number to Maxon? I don't like doing things by the web without confirmation. I wanted to talk to someone regarding a subscription?
Hey, quick question. My laptop doesn't support the system requirement, but I use blender like that But for some reason, when I try it with C4D, it doesn't show anything on the viewport
