Good Tut right up to the end where you skip over the lights and cam setup. Assuming that's also something people will need to learn, because it is, I don't understand why you skip over what you've actually done in that lights and cam file.
Because it does NOT render materials on my version, I have two infinite lights, and a cam with animation, and I see materials in the viewport, and colors are registering, but none of the other material values are present in final render or in AE comp.
Amazing video, very good explanation, but I've been trying to import my Illustrator file (version 8, all outlines stroked, without text) to Cinema 4D but can't recognise it. (Unknown file format!)
When I Import my vector into C4d it doesn't recognize the layers made in Illustrator - Just imports as a path. Any ideas? Been stuck for a day and a half on this...
For some reason, I am unable to extrude backwards as was shown in this video. I followed everything, but when I push sections back in z space they disappear into other sections.
Go up to the main menus across the top of C4D and go "Help" -> "Check for Updates". After the window opens you will find the "Release 21 - Content Libraries - Lite" ...should be in either the "Updates" or "optional" tabs of the "Check for Updates" window.
